Sounds like Kevin Hopkins will be back in at QB. He is very capable of throwing the ball, which is something his backups, that played the last two games, couldn't do. This is not the Army team we're used to seeing. Don't forget they went into Norman, OK last year and Ann Arbor, MI this year and took both those games to overtime. When was the last time we were that competitive against top 10 competition? They also have a 15 game home winning streak.
Due to how we've played thus far and the thrilling finish to a game that was two weeks ago, this is one of the most anticipated games in years.

That podcast came out yesterday. So unless I’m mistaken, I think the army analyst was misinformed regarding his certainty of Hopkins playing. Monkens press conference doesn’t answer it and also came out yesterday. Apparently there were some practice reports that had him taking snaps, but nothing has been announced. This is very similar to our injury situation where no one wants to let something slip.DfromCT wrote: ↑Wed Oct 02, 2019 2:14 pm Sounds like Kevin Hopkins will be back in at QB. I would think the guy from Inside/Outside Army Football knows more about their starting QB situation than we do!Bicoastalwave wrote: ↑Wed Oct 02, 2019 2:45 pmThat podcast came out yesterday. Read the tea leaves as you would like but Army moved Kelvin Hopkins back to the starting spot on their depth chart this week:
The Army people I talk to (including in the episode) expect him to be back.

Army will be a whole lot less one dimensional on offense with their QB back. The first two games they threw the ball a lot more until he went out. They will still want to run the ball, and be dominant on the ground, but they'll take some shots with Hopkins downfield in the air that our D has to be ready for.

Hopkins was 5-12 with one TD, one interception and one fumble in his two games. The other QB's have been 3-10 in their two games.
