AAC Player's Lounge interview with Justin McMillan. Pretty generic interview, but I like his answer to the question "What does Tulane have to prove against a top tier team like Auburn?"... to which he confidently replied, "we ain't got to prove nothin' ". Everyone will interpret this statement in their own fashion, but what I think Justin meant was that Tulane belongs on the field with any team without being intimidated and we don't have to 'prove' we're worthy to play Auburn. Roll Wave!

I'm thinking a win tonight would be the biggest program win since maybe the 1982 LSU game? I personally think it would be bigger than the BYU Liberty Bowl victory.

This is great! Justin (and I think the team) is confident they can play and compete with Auburn. Fritz has brought this program a long way from the disaster he inherited.GreenLantern wrote: ↑Sat Sep 07, 2019 7:26 am AAC Player's Lounge interview with Justin McMillan. I love watching Fritz crowd surf in the locker room. For a 58 year old man to do so among 18-23 year old kids is amazing. Clearly the players love Coach Fritz and he loves them. He gets it, and it shows.

He was one hell of a great voice of the Green Wave.

Agree on the 1982 game. Definitely not bigger than the Liberty Bowl though. That win cemented how good we were and let us finish in the top 10.RobertM320 wrote: ↑Sat Sep 07, 2019 10:09 am I'm thinking a win tonight would be the biggest program win since maybe the 1982 LSU game? You think? BYU wasn't even ranked. We totally expected to win that game. LSU in 1982 was headed to the Orange Bowl and we were 4-7.winwave wrote: ↑Sat Sep 07, 2019 1:03 pmAgree on the 1982 game. Definitely think so. If we had lost it would have taken the whole shine off of the season. Would have had all the critics calling us out for losing to an unranked team. That sealed our PERFECT SEASON that has provided us with long term pride that no one can take away.

Tulane needs to find a way to score as the defense will likely eventually wear down.

5 penalties for 30 yards on the Wave ... 0 for Auburn....there's the difference so far
I agree. I think we have made our point that no G5 is going to run over us anymore, but we have to get things moving against this P5 team. Our defense is playing their hearts out.

That’s BS. No way did he have control of that ball. Either INT or incomplete.
