I’m sure the staff is out there recruiting. There have been some rumors of a couple GA State recruits following him here.

I am excited to see who this final New Orleans/Louisiana based coach will be and if he can bring some people in.

Don’t expect anyone we bring in to have big time offers, but we know this coach can do more with less.

Agreed. This is about filling out the team, adding depth and maybe finding a diamond in the rough.

Star ratings aren’t going to mean a lot to a coach like Coach Hunter. What will matter more is attitude and fit with his system. That said, what they will need is more of these guys.

I hear ya WH but they aren't mutually exclusive. That said I welcome him aboard and look forward to him helping us resurrect our basketball program.

We had a highly recruited 4 star big man that had signed an LOI last fall. Noble Days is his name, and he had offers from BC, DePaul, K-State, Marquette and others. Does anyone know if he's still committed? 24/7 lists him and Henry Lagton as signed, but I don't know if that's still up to date.

Who knows for sure. He could ask to get out of his letter tomorrow, but for now he still has this tweet pinned:

Looks like he's still down.

Yeah, its something like University of Colorado at Colorado Springs. C-CS.

That was the signing that confirmed that MD had no plan and was clutching at straws.

He showed great promise, not playing in something like the last 7 games of his JUCO's season! Averaged about 3 ppg. Dunleavy could have turned him into a serviceable role player in the NBA. (Sarcasm alert.)

I hope Hunter has been in constant contact with Days. Hopefully he's the guy that's got the talent that Hunter builds around.

You can bet that's how Hunter is looking at it.

Played high school ball in Atlanta, Wonder what Coach Hunter thought of him and wonder if Coach Hunter tried to keep him committed or just let him matriculate to the #1 small private in the South to free up an additional slot ?

Head to head competition with a program in an almost identical situation is interesting.

Which one? The kid has a ton of offers, it would be a coup to land him.

So, it's between us and Vanderbilt? Tough choice. Both have a whole lot to offer academically and both are in great cities. I'd take New Orleans over Nashville any day that ends in "y", but that's me. The lure of playing in the SEC, which is red hot right now, might sway him. Coach Hunter should send some Beignets! Don't let him decide without a visit to the Crescent City!
