Scott and Nicholls are crushing Opponents, I know competition level is different would nice to see the Wave doing this!!!
The Colonels scored touchdowns on their first eight drives to build the 55-0 lead midway through the third quarter. Quarterback Lindsey Scott Jr. accounted for six of the scores – three rushing and three passing – to tie a single-game program record for touchdowns responsible for. He carved up the LU defense by completing 16 of 21 passes for 232 yards while rushing for 108 yards on 10 carries.
Rebowe doing it with transfers, including Monjarres and James from the wave, several recruits locally we looked at https://geauxcolonels.com/sports/footba ... nheim/4961, Gums, 4 transfers from Memphis, one from Houston, Arkansas, TCU, Texas Tech, Mississippi State, West Virginia, and Georgia Tech. Scored 87 Points in their lst game.

Southeastern defeats NIcholls State and Lindsey Scott, 52 to 45. Lindsey throws 4 interceptions, 2 for pick 6 in Colonels’ loss. And, Lindsey is still only 5ft 9. :D

Yep, congrats to Frank Scelfo and the SLU Lions who hopefully with a win next week against So. Illinois will have earned a ticket to the FCS playoffs. And, the same Frank Scelfo who asked his brother Chris in 1998 to remove his name from consideration for Tulane HC because “RIchRod had earned the job.” Good luck Frank Scelfo, 🍀 friend of the Wave and to his SLU Lions.

I'm glad that Frank finally got a HC job and is doing well. He'd have been a lot better choice than Chris.

+1 I've always thought Frank put the program, and the kids in the program, ahead of family loyalty, He is truly a friend of Tulane for life. Likewise, even if you didn't like his coaching, Chris Scelfo did an amazing job of keeping a bunch of different personalities together and worked through the toughest coaching conditions imaginable the Katrina year. He wasn't a great HC, but he was and is a good man. The Scelfo family was not responsible for Cowen making his ridiculous decisions.

They certainly were responsible for the Cowen decision to overrule SB and hire CS over RR. Sam Scelfo saw to that and thus mightily contributed to us being left behind .

Sammy was not the final say for his brother getting the TU job!!
You think Sammy was such a big influence in the naming of TU coach! I’m so tired of hearing such BS!

Cowen thought RR would leave soon like Bowden. He hired Scelfo thinking he’d stay. Dumb reasoning but that’s why he went with CS. Sam Scelfo pushed his brother like any other family donor would push their relative. See Dunleavy (Miles Clements) . But believe me Cowen made the choice over SB and anyone else.
Blaming Sam Scelfo is preposterous.
Cowen screwed up.

LOL. Like a Cowen thought that up all by himself. Sam was the president of the Green Wave Club and went to Cowen’s home and preached to him to hire Chris over RR because Chris would stay. That’s very well known. Cost us big time time.

Rat you're clueless. The AD doesn't get to make the hire without the President signing off. Sandy chose RR and Cowen signed off on it and she informed RR of it. It's why he showed up and is clearly seen in the video wearing a green coat and tie. Sam got the word and went to work on Cowen. He finally convinced him and Cowen called Sandy in the late hours to tell her. Her one mistake was not having the guts to go tell RR the change had been made.

Y'all could be helping the "Quest for 100" if you'd move this discussion to the Tanner Lee thread. It is equally germane there.
God Bless Everyone!

Actually Michael Pratt is 6'2", about 5 inches taller than "wrong team" Lindsey Scott who is at present fighting a severe case of "Tanner Lee-itis" for which there is no known therapy or vaccine. :D

Let me add a very successful HS coach in NO at that time who was in my wedding called me that Sunday night to tell me he was taking a job under RR, only to learn as he drove to Tulane on Monday morning that Scelfo got the job.

Actually, my post was intended as a "Coda" to the "Saga of Lindsey Scott." We began recruiting Scott almost 6 years ago in 2015, he had no intention of ever coming to Tulane other than as a "last resort." Agreed, at the end of the day the "Saga of Lindsey Scott" has proven to be "much ado about nothing." Now let's just say good riddance to the "little bastard." :D

Not even any good??? Simmer down. Lindsey Scott did what Lindsey has always done. Produce. Hopefully we have a guy this season who will do what scott has done. In a 6 game season:

Scott Ranked 10th in nation in passing yards
https://www.ncaa.com/stats/football/fcs ... vidual/453

Scott finished Top 20 in passing efficiency (was 3rd in the nation before this game)
Had thrown 3ints on the season prior to SELU game

Scott is Tied for 3rd in FCS for Passing TDS with 18

Scott is Ranked #1 in the country for TDS responsible for with 24
https://www.ncaa.com/stats/football/fcs ... vidual/692

Scott is 16th in the nation in Rushing yards (lead team with 626 yds and 6 yard rushing average)
Was sacked 6 times in a loss to McNeese, and still netted 137 yards rushing with 291 yards passing and 3tds

Scott is 4th in the nation rushing TDS

Scott is 9th in the nation total offense

Led a Nicholls offense that is 4th in the nation in total yards (avg 547.5 yds per game)
Nicholls finished second in the country in scoring offense (averaging 48.7 pts per game)

Scott tried to do too much in this game. But, Nicholls has struggled on defense (86th in scoring D, 64th in Total D).

Coach Sceflo had a great game plan. SELU scored 3 times on trick plays, while coverting 3 of 4 4th downs (two of which, went for TDs). https://www.theadvocate.com/acadiana/sp ... da952.html

Nicholls has ranked as high as 7th in FCS this season. They will have to take care of defense and O-line issues to be successful.

Its funny, where were these posts from Wave755, when Scott put up 75pts vs a Top 25 FCS opponent in less than 4 qtrs of football (56-24 lead at halftime)? UIW Needed More Than Jesus to Save them From the Lindsey Scott Jr. Train

Let's stop actin butt hurt, and justifying our situation based on this kid having a bad game. He has done nothing but produced whenever he touched the field. Lets focus on Tulane, and the guys we have. Our own FBS guy threw 3 INTs Nevada.
