So 40 pages for a kid that isn’t even any good
Not even any good??? Simmer down. Lindsey Scott did what Lindsey has always done. Produce. Hopefully we have a guy this season who will do what scott has done. In a 6 game season:

Scott Ranked 10th in nation in passing yards
https://www.ncaa.com/stats/football/fcs ... vidual/453

Scott finished Top 20 in passing efficiency (was 3rd in the nation before this game)
Had thrown 3ints on the season prior to SELU game

Scott is Tied for 3rd in FCS for Passing TDS with 18

Scott is Ranked #1 in the country for TDS responsible for with 24
https://www.ncaa.com/stats/football/fcs ... vidual/692

Scott is 16th in the nation in Rushing yards (lead team with 626 yds and 6 yard rushing average)
Was sacked 6 times in a loss to McNeese, and still netted 137 yards rushing with 291 yards passing and 3tds

Scott is 4th in the nation rushing TDS

Scott is 9th in the nation total offense

Led a Nicholls offense that is 4th in the nation in total yards (avg 547.5 yds per game)
Nicholls finished second in the country in scoring offense (averaging 48.7 pts per game)

Scott tried to do too much in this game. But, Nicholls has struggled on defense (86th in scoring D, 64th in Total D).

Coach Sceflo had a great game plan. SELU scored 3 times on trick plays, while coverting 3 of 4 4th downs (two of which, went for TDs). https://www.theadvocate.com/acadiana/sp ... da952.html

Nicholls has ranked as high as 7th in FCS this season. They will have to take care of defense and O-line issues to be successful.

Its funny, where were these posts from Wave755, when Scott put up 75pts vs a Top 25 FCS opponent in less than 4 qtrs of football (56-24 lead at halftime)? UIW Needed More Than Jesus to Save them From the Lindsey Scott Jr. Train

Let's stop actin butt hurt, and justifying our situation based on this kid having a bad game. He has done nothing but produced whenever he touched the field. Lets focus on Tulane, and the guys we have. Our own FBS guy threw 3 INTs Nevada.
💤💤💤🥱
Yeah cause a nationally ranked QB is a snoozer compared to our record over the last 7 seasons

Records over last 7 seasons
2020 6-6
2019 7-6
2018 7-6
2017 5-7
2016 4-8
2015 3-9
2014 3-9

Total 35-54

Yay!! What a jo.y. Not enough going on in our program, we gotta follow kids that didnt come to Tulane

💤💤💤🥱, LSU & Missouri were right, Scott is not a FBS quarterback.

We are now loaded with FBS caliber quarterbacks 🏈, so happily after 6 years case closed on the "Saga of Lindsey Scott" for Tulane.

"Loaded"? Stop it. I like our guy(s). But Pratt did not have a single Power 5 offer to chose from. We don't really know how lucky we are that he didnt have those options, But 1800 yards in a 10 game season (2020) does not suggest that the P5 schools that passed on him were wrong (yet). And I don't know if LSU or Missouri were right about Scott. And whether he's a FBS QB is moot. He play's FCS football. What is clear, is that wherever he's played, he has performed well. He's always complimentary of our coaches and our program. He seems to have possibly two (2) more years of eligibility. No matter how well he does at Nicholls, the issue of whether he's an FBS QB seems stupid (considering we are a lower tier G5). More importantly, he doesn't play for us. Why do we continue to discuss him? We sound like "other" fan sites I've followed. When he's doing well, we are silent. After a bad game, "boy did we dodge a bullet". I'm far more interested in when are we going to be out of the bottom tier of the Group of 5, than I am about a guy that never took a snap here. Yeah, so lets let the Saga end. Go Wave!!

Matt was a beast. But QB is the most difficult position in football. We need Pratt (or someone) to defy the odds. Until then, my fingers are crossed.

Hasn’t Pratt already defied the odds at this point ? He was thrust into starting mid season as a true freshman throwing the ball effectively at a school which had been running the “triple option” and had a dearth of wr’s who could catch the ball.

Lindsey Scott, Jr. for the Heisman Trophy? Not so fast; I don’t think so? :shakingno:

Happy to report the University of Memphis Tigers roared back and beat the Lindsey Scott, Jr. led Nicholls State Colonels 42 to 17. And, Lindsey Scott, Jr., considered by many on this forum to be perhaps the greatest college quarterback of all time, and a far superior quarterback to Tulane’s Michael Pratt, was 13/24 for 156 yards in a “stella” but losing effort to Memphis at the Liberty Bowl.🥳

And, will Lindsey now again transfer “for taking his talents” to a 5th college after the conclusion of this season?🤔

The Saga of Lindsey Scott, Jr. continues! Somewhere a violin plays.🎻😢

I will still say Lindsey Scott Jr., as a high school recruit, was better than anything we had on the team at that time.

Water seeks it own level, so has Lindsey - the FCS.

I am not sure the QBs we had at the time were even starters at that level.

Lindsey Scott, Jr. and his Nicholls State Colonels play ULALA @ Lafayette next Saturday. Should be so much damn fun to watch & too bad they both can’t lose! :D

And, if Lindsey were @ Tulane he would be QB for the practice squad; a wasted scholarship. All’s well that ends well. 8-)

He was great yesterday. Threw for 357 yards with 3 TDs/1 INT and ran for 121 yards while losing a close one to ULOL.

And, Lindsey threw a “pick-six” that probably saved “Mighty” ULALA from a most embarrassing loss @ Lafayette to “Mighty” FCS Nicholls State. And, did you notice “Mighty” Arkansas beat “Mighty” Texas 40 to 21?

and it was not a close as the score indicates...Arkansas man handled the players from the University of Texas @ Austin....hell the game ended with Arkansas on the Texas 15 yard line, taking knees so the score would look respectable for their new conference brothers....

True, does not augur well for soon to be new SEC member Texas to get the Hell beaten out of it by perennial SEC “doormat” Arkansas. :D And, ULALA’ s post-Covid year “reality check” continues. :D :) ;)
