Lucas checks in at 5’8″ and 175 pounds and has six offers from FSU, Virginia, and Kansas, among some smaller schools
Lucas brings speed to a backfield and is a playmaker downfield and underneath for his quarterbacks. The playmaker from The Boot won reps against bigger defensive backs. He can instantly accelerate and is a crisp route-runner who can break away from elite cover corners.

Vanderbilt, Maryland, Florida State and Indiana are all involved here.

Rivals gave Lucas the Mighty Mouse Award:
MIGHTY MOUSE
Jaylin Lucas
Jaylin Lucas
This goes to the smallest player who made the biggest impact, and Jaylin Lucas wins this award. He's listed at 5-foot-9, which might be a touch generous, but the three-star from Houma (La.) Terrebonne uses his diminutive stature to his benefit as cornerbacks can’t jam him at the line and he can get off the line quickly. Once into his route, Lucas has exceptional speed to stretch the field. Quarterbacks have a small target in Lucas but oftentimes he’s wide open.

His offer sheet and game tape look good. His rating isn't super high - but we've had low 3* guys actually turn out to be good players. I'm not worried at all.
Tulane sits at 72nd nationally. Considering that there are 65 P5+ND programs, that puts us in the upper tier of G5. Not bad, but not quite where we'd want to be. Need an IPF and modernized FB facility to close the gap further.

We desperately need the football ops. building.

Rosen is still a parking lot. The space where the want to build the football ops. is where the small field is behind the north end zone. The Rosen lot is where they intended to build the new basketabll arena until the $50 million price tag had then believe they could build a legit D-1 stadium.

2+ weeks in the top 25 will get you the football ops building. We understand the top 25 isn’t the end all be all, but for alums and donors it is the national metric used for relevance. Hell if we stay consecutive weeks every publication will have a little blurb about it being our first time in the top 25 in 20+ years.
I wish that would be true but we'll need to end the season in the top 25 and then follow it with another top 25 season the have a reasonable chance to raise the $35 million needed.

Oh you're so mature. You claim you want things to end but you have to come and try to pass judgment. The next time you contribute something to the site will be a first.

the area behind the north end one, is that the area with "the hack shack" ...and why not expand Fogleman into McAllinster drive/walkway, most of the infrastructure is already in place, winwave wrote: ↑Thu Jul 08, 2021 5:23 pm Rosen is still a parking lot. That field abuts the baseball stadium. As to Fogelman we’ve been over that multiple times. First off the gym now seats 2,000 less than when you had that long ago conversation with the then AD. They have made McCallister a walk way now and I seriously doubt they’ll do anything to interfere with it. Plus those would be bad seats and wouldn’t make a good appearance.golfnut69 wrote: ↑Fri Jul 09, 2021 8:12 amthe area behind the north end one, is that the area with "the hack shack" ...and why not expand Fogleman into McAllinster drive/walkway, most of the infrastructure is already in place, winwave wrote: ↑Thu Jul 08, 2021 5:23 pm Rosen is still a parking lot. Are there any restrictions on changing Fogelman? Wasn't it deemed a U.S. Historical Structure of some type a few years ago?
Tulane is the University of Louisiana
I think that designation has been revoked, it was in place during Chet Gladchucks tenure.....his plan was to remove the north facing wall and sink the sailboat that was on displayHoustonWave wrote: ↑Fri Jul 09, 2021 10:13 am Are there any restrictions on changing Fogelman? You guys are so far off base, this post is about Jaylin Lucas take your arguments else where. Site administration needs to delete anything not about Jaylin Lucas, give the boy respect, instead of ambushing a post about his commitment.
