This would be a dream pick up- #1 freshman WR in the country is transferring out of Memphis. He was heavily recruited and offered by Tulane coming out of high school. I think some big P5’s will be after him, but maybe the coaches have a relationship and they can sell him on being “THE MAN” that Pratt throws too.

Not highly recruited out of High School, 2 Star by Rivals, low 3 Star by 247. Small, Fritz said for the AAC he needed tall Receivers that could go up for the ball!!! Guy from McNeese is already short!!!Bicoastalwave wrote: ↑Wed Mar 24, 2021 11:35 pm This would be a dream pick up- #1 freshman WR in the country is transferring out of Memphis. “ Coming into his redshirt freshman season, Washington was expected to be a contributor in Memphis' receiving corps but no one expected him to lead the country in receiving yards by a freshman. Washington finished the 2020 season with 43 receptions for 743 yards and six touchdowns.”
And he was a national freshman all american. I’m pretty sure we would jump at the chance to bring him in.
Memphis fans are saying this is a huge loss for their team. It seems likely they will continue to take a step back after losing Brady White and these weapons along with their questionable coach. They did have an excellent recruiting class however.

Our QB situation is great now, we sure don't need this reject, he was so erratic, did not think he was a college prospect when he played for Ponchatoula. Barely a 50% passer in high school, Did not improve at LSU!!! High int. to TD percentage, and low 90 QB rating. All hype never was a superstar on paper. Great supporting cast. Don't need to waste time on this huge Flop!!!tpstulane wrote: ↑Thu May 06, 2021 8:51 am LSU QB TJ Finley

Maybe end up at another school in the SEC in need of a QB. He was going to be 3rd string in BR.gbgreenie wrote: ↑Thu May 06, 2021 1:59 pmOur QB situation is great now, we sure don't need this reject, he was so erratic, did not think he was a college prospect when he played for Ponchatoula. Yeah I agree, for once we feel pretty good at QB. If anything are there are WR’s from LSU who want to come here ? I would happily take their 4th or 5th string guy. Hell I would take 4th string from SMU or Memphis
Yea but tell that to him. He probably thinks he’s a D1 QBShow Me wrote: ↑Thu May 06, 2021 3:36 pmHe’s out of position. Needs to be a TE.tpstulane wrote: ↑Thu May 06, 2021 8:51 am LSU QB TJ Finley

Is Finley related to—drum roll please—Lindsey Scott? Thought I’d never say his name again BUT—-
Stats don't lie, has always been hype because of size and arm strength, reminds me of a former Saint QB all hype, lol
In his first career start vs South Carolina Finley completed 17 of 21 pass attempts for 265 yards with two touchdowns and an interception and rushed for 24 yards and a touchdown.
But he did fade out after that.

You all are crazy. He was a true freshman. Showed a lot of promise but wasn't ready to play against top SEC competition. Would love to have him.
We have three QB better him right now, Pratt, Horton, Ibieta. He is not coming!!! Our three Qb high school stats swallow up that int, thrower!!!greenphantom wrote: ↑Wed May 12, 2021 7:19 pm You all are crazy. He was a true freshman. Be a Hero Today.... Adopt a Shelter Pet... The Beatles once sang "Can't Buy Me Love"... I disagree, unconditional Love can be bought, for the nominal adoption fee at your local Pet Shelter !

Not too sure of what's happening currently but a few weeks back when Kyle Edwards hit the portal he expressed interest in wanting to come home to Tulane. Problem is Tulane is fresh out of scholarships for the upcoming season. I know Tulane wants him and he desires to be close to home. Will be interesting to see if we can get creative with the scholarship situation. If we are willing to put a walk-on DB from Alabama on scholly, I would think we would be ecstatic for taking in a scholarship running back from Alabama who was a 4 star recruit coming out of Destrehan. I just hope he doesn't go to ULL. That would be a gut punch.
I'm not sure we are out of scholarships. Remember we can have more than 85 due to those coming back during the COVID season.
