Big Questions and conflicting data on the bragged about kicker we signed Kriston Esnard of Decatur, Ga.
Great reviews from Kohl's Kicking Camps rated 5 Star!!!
Looking at his his school stats average at best. Now school stats are game pressure situations, Kohl is ideal no rush kicking not game situations!!!

Year Grade Team GP PAT Att % FG Att % Lng Tot Pts Kick P/G
Varsity Totals 24 52 60 .9 17 30 .6 54 103 4.3
20-21 Senior Varsity 7 12 16 .8 6 9 .7 54 30 4.3
19-20 Junior Varsity 6 11 11 1.0 3 7 4 49 20 3.3
18-19 Sophomore Varsity 10 27 30 .9 7 11 .6 44 48 4.8
17-18 Freshman Varsity 1 2 3 .7 1 3 . 3 39 5 5.0

We're also talking HS. A Cairo Santos type kicker with a bad center or holder isn't going to have great stats. He has kicked a 54 yr FG. And 4 of his 8 misses came this season. No telling if one of the players was out due to Covid protocol or what. His So and Jr seasons he was a combined 38 of 41 in XP.

That's a really good point about the importance of a decent snapper and holder.

Be a Hero Today.... Adopt a Shelter Pet... The Beatles once sang "Can't Buy Me Love"... I disagree, unconditional Love can be bought, for the nominal adoption fee at your local Pet Shelter !

Wow. Great PWO!
Seen him play in person and he has great hands. For you old timers reminds me of Danny Abramowicz. Great hands, great route runner, gets open and makes plays.

Cairo had his very long streak (28 in a row I believe) broken 3 shy of the NCAA record at Syracuse. He flew there from his father's funeral in South America. He had made many kicks during the streak over 50, including a 58 yarder. But in Syracuse NY that week the snapper bounced the snap and the streak ended with him just shy of an all-time record. The snap and hold are every bit as important as the actual kick (though not nearly as skilled!)

a 21st century comparisson... Wes Welker..... Leach took him as a favor to a OKC high school coach he met while on OU's staff...he thought, if nothing else, he would be a special teams player for Tx Tech...hopefully Mr Besh is Tulane's Wes Welker

And someone will post a video of him running home after Fritz and the team surprise him with a scholarship in Augusts 2022!

If you watch those films, two things stand out: 1. he does have nice hands and 2. the OC was finding ways to get the ball in his hands in stride. He's got some speed and the ability to make defenders miss, at least at the HS level.
