Any updates ? It’s crunch time, with our bowl a month away the next substantial Tulane football challenge will be finishing strong on the recruiting trail. Roll wave
Haven't seen or heard any. Hope we will soon.

I hope we do not hear any recruiting news until the early signing day. 90%+ sign on the early signing day (the traditional day in February has become a non-event). Any news we'd hear between now and December 18th would probably not be good news.

It has turned out that way as myself and others thought it would and that it would be good for Tulane which it has been. WF thought it was a bad idea. Glad he was wrong.

I think the no news thing is for the most part accurate. We are trying to flip the Rummel kid from Vandy (had a monster state finals) and are after a 4 star . . . Landing them would be news I’d like to hear I’d love for us to flip one person to start some positive momentum, which we haven’t really had in a few months. Maybe fritz staying and the extension is that change in momentum.

I'd love to hear we landed a 4 star recruit. There's typically about a dozen of them that commit to a non P5.Bicoastalwave wrote: ↑Mon Dec 09, 2019 5:18 pm I think the no news thing is for the most part accurate. You are right. I want to hear it to. Those dozen usually end up at a G5 coming off 10-12 win type season.DfromCT wrote: ↑Mon Dec 09, 2019 5:54 pmI'd love to hear we landed a 4 star recruit. I don't know that Tulane has ever had a 5 star recruit. It's rare enough that a G5 gets a 4 star recruit, to the tune of roughly 6-12 a year.

Thanks for taking the time to do that.RobertM320 wrote: ↑Tue Dec 10, 2019 3:41 pm Latest update. These were the players that were committed and their original ratings from the summer. Second rating was at beginning of the season, third is current. I'll add the new commits in a minute.

Tulane started recruitimg black high school programs in the mid 60's. It took a while, but players like Charlie & Nicky Hall were the ultimate result. The traditionally black high school coaches never forgot that Tulane showed up well before LSU ever did (1974), this gave us a recruiting advantage that lasted up to the early 80's. There wasn't any ranking system, but Tulane has also had some very gifted recruits from Ohio, California, Michigan, Florida ect...DfromCT wrote: ↑Tue Dec 10, 2019 4:29 pmI don't know that Tulane has ever had a 5 star recruit.
