Barbe and Jesuit should match up in a 3 game series. I hate the current setup.

Barbe was a really good team. Lost 2 games all year and swept Catholic back in March.

Barbe is a baseball factory and has been for decades. Still would like to see that matchup. Jesuit has two solid starters that would give them a legitimate shot of winning.

Leading candidate for the Nicholls job.
https://www.lafourchegazette.com/sports ... 01c64.html
Kendall Rogers with D1Baseball.com said that Andy Cannizaro has emerged as the frontrunner to be the Colonels' next coach. No hire has been announced, and the Colonels are continuing the process of attempting to replace Seth Thibodeaux who resigned at the end of the 2021 season.

But Cannizaro would be a huge get for Nicholls.

If anyone is foolish enough to hire him he will have to be confined to all male company and he will have to be de-phoned .

My apologies if this was discussed in the other 23 pages, but how many years need to pass before he has “learned his lesson”, the toxicity has worn off and the Tulane powers that be would hire him ? Is next year long enough ?

Very good question. And in the meantime, it looks like we are going to have to pi$$ off another year or more with Mush Mouth and sit back and watch a number of vastly more capable Tulane alums move on to other coaching gigs. Thanks Troy.

For out of towners there was a split several years ago between select(private schools) and non-select(public schools). Therefore they have separate playoffs. So every team makes the playoffs in order to have a bracket. Holy Cross had a bad season and finished at or near the bottom of the league. As you can see there some wonder if it was something off-field as he hasn't been there that long to have one bad season get you fired.

Not sure if this helps or not. What kind of administration wants to take baseball "in a different direction", just one year after they won the district?

New Headmaster came in at HC. The coaches contracts are either extended or terminated during this period. Andy was not extended. Really nothing more too it. Maybe another factor was his high salary. I’m sure he’ll be coaching somewhere next season.

New headmaster new direction after 4 years.

Cannizaro told Times-Picayune staff writer Christopher Dabe in a text message, “Yes, we agreed to part ways today. New headmaster looking to go in a new direction. I am thankful for the opportunity they gave me, and I wish them nothing but the best!”

All about salary? So his high paid salary doesn't cover the automatic Select I playoff bid? Fire the AD first, then AC.

He was only 10 games over.500 after 4 seasons. Unless your Tulane athletics most wouldn't consider that successful. Hard to argue with the headmasters call.

I hear that but he isn't firing everyone. Performance matters. The record hasn't been good overall.
