I didn't know Melvin LeCompte. He deserves our respect as a VietNam veteran. Also, anyone whose Times Picayune obituary mentions that he loved Tulane Football and whose obit picture shows him wearing a Tulane cap deserves to be mentioned on this site.

Rest in peace, Melvin. May the Green Wave honor your memory with a season to remember.

Sorry to hear that. May he rest in Peace.

I think this should be in the men and women of Tulane forum. There's no Green Wave without fans especially a great one like him.

And an Olive Green hat at that. Kudos to Mr. LeCompte, may he RIP and witness numerous Tulane national championships in his afterlife.
