Sad to report this but I just got word that Jason has passed due to an accidental death. What a Tulane legend. Jason hit 49 home runs in 2 years, played a great RF, ran the bases well, was a great student and had maybe one of the biggest hits in Tulane history ‘98 at Zephyr. He should have been in our HOF a long time ago.
Rest In Peace and my sincere condolences to the entire family.

So very sorry to hear that. That Home Run will always be etched in my memory. May he rest in peace.

So sad to hear, and way too young to pass away. My prayers to the family and friends of Jason.

The late Johnny Hainkel said it best! He opened the Louisiana Senate by saying, “What time is it? My watch stopped at 10-8!”

Been out of town. So sorry to learn of this. I didn’t realize Jason was not in the Tulane Hall of Fame. A complete oversight for sure. Troy get this All American and Tulane single season HR total leader in ASAP.

May the warm light of God's Love, shine brightly upon the Sparks family, and give them Peace
