Wow, that hurt. Second and third one out, down 2-1, and Jackson Johnson looks at three strikes. We don't score. Still 2-1, bottom of 7th.
"That mantra is the only consistent thing that never needs to ever change for the rest of this program’s existence because that is all that matters & as long as that keeps occurring, everything will handle itself" -- Nick Anderson
You need to have your head examined. If we lose this game we go to the losers bracket. The key for us is not to let USF or UCONN or Memphis win this tourney. You are one strange dude. We win a game and you act like we are going to Omaha. We lose a game and you ready to quit on the whole program.Jonathan wrote:God help us. If we lose this game no NCAA at large bid. Wake up our batters and win this game in the last three innings.
As per the game, huge strike zone for both teams but we killed ourselves in the field and the inability to hit a fly ball with 1 out and a man on 3rd could come be our undoing.

I wouldn't say that. The umps are just bad. They gave us a gift last inning. The play at home was too close to call either way. And the pitch Wilsey got tossed was a ball. But he should have not got tossed over it. It wasn't like it was strike three. We still have a chance to pull it out. Two guys thrown out at the plate hurts though.Pepper wrote:We are being robbed!

That last throw out at the plate, we should have never gone for it. He was out by a mile...

No we are getting hosed. Everybody in the stadium knew he was safe. Wilsey getting tossed was ridiculous. He didn't even wait for the catcher to appeal and then the next batter gets hit on the elbow and he calls it a foul tip?
Don't mind The aggressive base running due to our inability to string hits together. I do like the fight in this team though.

You just CaNT miss these galant calls In a conference tourney for both teams.
Right. The umps are terrible for both teams. The called strikes on some of the pitches have been bizzare.Forever TU wrote:You just CaNT miss these galant calls In a conference tourney for both teams.

I thought that as well. I said God I hope he holds up because it was too shallow. But I'm ok with aggressive outs.NOLABigSteve wrote:That last throw out at the plate, we should have never gone for it. He was out by a mile...

He has no clue when it comes to the strike zone. Watching this on TV you can really rate these guys. Worst than CUSA umps. But bad for both sides.Pepper wrote:The home plate ump really isn't ready for prime time.

Sad performance by our relieve pitcher. Rankin. Walking and hitting batters. He loaded the bases and walked in a run. Rankin needs to go! Worst relieve pitching that I have seen at Tulane. I love Corey. We had an assistant coach and two players thrown out of the game. Can they hold their temper as they cannot play tomorrow which will hurt us badly. No hitting as usual by our team. We are in the pits of the losers bracket and probably no NCAA bid because of this pathetic loss tonight. Rankin our relieve pitcher and players let Tulane down big time with no hitting. A mega important game lost as usual for Tulane over 40 years. Pray that we get lucky and get a NCAA bid. I am sorry but I always call it as I see it. Roll Wave . I feel that we will win another game and get the NCAA bid barely.

Now we have to win 3 games in two days just to play on Sunday if we want to get the auto bid. I still think we need to win tomorrow to be safe. We can't afford to let UCONN or have Memphis win this thing.

This one belongs to the umpires!
(Horrible for both teams, but especially us.)

Can someone explain to me how to hide Jonathan so I never see his posts again. Dude has no flipping clue what he is talking about with sports and he just makes me never want to come back to this forum. I never comment because every time I want to, it follows something totally dumb that this guy has said
