Well, once again we find ourselves at a potential turning point for the program:
  • Uber-important game against a ranked SEC opponent
  • National interest in the game
  • Good publicity leading up to the game and a chance to elevate the program (and never has there been a more important time)
  • Opportunity for an elusive ‘signature’ win
  • Wonderful chance to build the local fan base and put more bodies in the seats…especially with LSUgh having a down year
Have we been here before? What could possibly go wrong?

If I’m betting with someone else’s money, I’m going with Tulane 37
Ole Miss 33

If I’m betting with my own money: Ole Miss 42. Tulane 30

As bad as I want to win, this game has the classic Tulane letdown scenario. I don't think it will be as close as the OK game that's for sure.

We've been overdue for a "biggie" virtually forever . The time has finally come . We win 48 - 40 .
President Fitts , B of A , it's put up or forever hold your peace time . Make Tulane ATHLETICS relevant and top 30 again .

Tulane will cause some problems on both sides of the ball. May even lead thru 3 quarters. But will find a way to Tulane at the end . It’s just what we do. But we’ll look good doing it and get more back pats for morals

This is a tougher game than OU for a couple of reasons.
1. In same region which means recruits. OU doesn’t recruit LA much UM does.
2. OU always over hyped early in season
3. SEC teams play faster and harder (both sides of the ball) than big 12.
4. Ole Miss like TU has something to prove.
5. In Oxford, not going to get any calls

TU 33
Going to be a good game.

Ole Miss 41...Tulane 24....it will be close going into the 4th...a pick 6 late, will seal the deal for Ole Miss

I am putting on my tinfoil hat with a huge conspiracy that will be an entertaining fictional story. Why not, its football season!

Secretly, SEC members want Tulane back in outside of LSU. They want a second school in Louisiana. They are hyping us up like we are SEC Contenders. OU is hyping us after the win and now we got Ole Miss are comparing us to SEC teams..... With OU joining the SEC, they did not want to blow us out. We took it to them the second half and that is why they called that bogus Pass Interference call. Had to keep the game close, but Tulane would not be allowed to beat a CFB playoff contender joining the SEC. Now Ole Miss...let's face it. They have to get past Alabama and then past Georgia in the Championship game to get into the playoffs. Not as likely as OU making it in at this point. Either way, Ole Miss is selling Tulane as a very solid competitor and will want this game to be close as well. We wont get the calls either, but keep us around (as planned) and maybe we pull it off. Or we play it close and now Tulane looks like the school that the Big 12 should have invited but prime for picking now....

Pratt takes another beating, as our OL wilts, and may not finish this one for all the wrong reasons.

Coming in negative because i have been lucy'ed too many times. . . i desperately want to eat crow - but i need to manage my expectations so i don't destroy a TV. . . Tulane Starts slow, makes it interesting in the 3rd quarter and then Ole Miss pulls away - Ole Miss 42 Tulane 21

I am REALLY hoping to be proven wrong and to eat crow. We can beat them

Ole Miss scores a late TD to put it away, but we're in the game the entire way.

Extra: Pratt plays better than Matt Corral.

I will be watching our OL, especially our #79. He did not do well against OU and he has to do a better job of protecting Pratt or whomever is our QB. Would love to see Horton in the game if Pratt gets beat up. Other factor is catching the damn ball. Look for our tight end to haul in a few. Prediction: TU 28 Ole Miss 35.
