Didn’t a tight end lead us to our last win at Ole Miss? Rodney Holman?

That last game in Tulane Stadium was freezing cold.

Holman was in the NFL by those last wins.

that is why I posted the years of each win, so it would be known Holman was long gone by then..in '87 mack brown was the HC...In '88 Greg davis was the HC

Holman was there in 1979 when we beat the Rebels and John Fourcade in the Dome, 49-15. That was the week before we beat LSU, 24-13.

Does anyone know how to get Tulane tickets for the Ole Miss game? I have tried calling the ticket office and it goes straight to voice mail; I suspect that no one is in the ticket office. I would really like to go see the game in person.

Thanks for that. After awhile the years run together. I do remember the tight end got us in position for the game winning walk off field goal. That was at Oxford I believe.

The whole athletic department is in Birmingham. Check Tulane’s site. Contact information should be there.

Galvez...if my memory serves I think those games were part of the ackson "double header".... Ole miss or Miss State would play in the early afternoon followed by a nite game, by the other team

This is going to be a very tough game for us. I hope I am wrong but I don't see another Oklahoma "almost pull off a miracle". As for referring to Tulane as SEC caliber, fuhgedabouit!

This is an old coaching trick used by Bear Bryant when facing weaker teams. Talk up the other team to keep your guys focused. Plus it gets the opposing team to think they are better than they are, which can result in less focus. It can be taken further by praising individual players causing them to over play and take chances they normally wouldn’t. “Stay humble and hungry”. Roll Wave.
