We run rule WSU 12-2! Great job by Olthoff. After a long 4th inning he came back and finished strong. Bats finally got going. Going to continue to need that hitting to have any chance.

Fantastic performance by Olthoff--his complete game is huge for giving us a well rested bullpen for the next two days. And yes, the bats woke up in the 4th inning, and kept on banging away. So much of hitting is confidence--hopefully today starts a needed hitting streak for the Wave.

Olthoff was a stud today. Had great movement on his pitches. Glad we were able to survive and get the W that even TJ couldn't mess up.

Strange tournament. Four of the ten games so far have ended by run rule. The #1 and #3 seeds both were run ruled.

Memphis is goes 1-2 in the tournament, including getting run-ruled twice, but they run-ruled the #1 seed.

Strange times.

So who's starting for us on Saturday?

We need to win three in a row to capture the championship, One loss could end our season. I think if we win 2 today, we're in. The AAC is the #5 power rated conference, we should get 3 teams in.

I'd think if we win two today, and play ECU tomorrow, we're in. If UCF advances to the Championship and we play them, I think we have to beat them to get in. I don't see us getting more than two teams this year.

We have to win the whole thing regardless. At-large bid is completely out of the question

Hoffman will start game one. If we play game two we may start Benoit.

12-5 now. End of 7.

Heard so much the first four innings from the color analyst about how USF came in with a 1.00 ERA for the tournament. How stupid is that, considering they had only played two games. Well, guess what? Their ERA has now ballooned to 4.33. :o
