He has entered the portal:

Maybe he ends up staying like Johnson.

Not good. He’s probably our second best player who has made great strides and knows the system. I know he and Hunter have had an up and down relationship. Hopefully coach can convince him to stay. He has a starring role on the team, hard to ask for much more . . . Except winning and ncaa tourneys.

If Walker does transfer Coach Hunter will likely enter the " transfer portal " himself and get himself out of New Orleans .
President Fitts , B of A , it's put up or forever hold your peace time . Make Tulane ATHLETICS relevant and top 30 again .

He's tired of pizza, and wants some post-game steaks.

Not happening. Walker's transfer is less than ideal, but he got his degree and is leaving Tulane on good terms. It seems like he enjoyed his time here, played really well this season, and wanted to experience a new opportunity. I don't think there was any bad friction between Hunter and Walker; players and coaches go back and forth sometimes, that's sports, and tensions run high. Jalen Cook will fill his role admirably and we may not be done in the transfer portal quite yet.

We can’t trade “impact”
Players for question marks. We need hunter to go get another (cook) 4 star player who is overlooked at a sec school and wands to come here and star. We need another star and scoring option. If he can rebound and is taller the. 6 -8 that’s. Huge bonus

Another example to me of the weakness of Hunter lacking high school recruiting skills. So dependent on transfers who aren’t loyal.

He was a Dunleavy transfer. He's an average player.

At times during the end of the year he seemed like the best player on the court for either teams.

I would say he wasn’t the problem and can be an above average player. Him leaving is a set back when we don’t have enough average aac players.

Fact : Recruiting transfers has failed to produce Winning .

Coach Hunter should recruit the' old fashioned ' way : high schoolers .

Walker can take his 39.8% shooting with him. Never impressed with him. He was streaky.

I hope he goes and gets a Stanford degree. Worth its weight in gold (actually several times over)

Be a Hero Today.... Adopt a Shelter Pet... The Beatles once sang "Can't Buy Me Love"... I disagree, unconditional Love can be bought, for the nominal adoption fee at your local Pet Shelter !
