Funny if that happens they will probably drop out of Q1 which in a sense hurts us also
The RPI thing is maddening.
They are #16 so they won't drop of Q1, top 50, if they lose the series to us.
I was thinking along the lines of Wichita State how we beat them when they were Q1 and eventually they dropped out of Q1. If by some fluke we sweep ECU and they lose a few more after they’d probably drop out but at that point Q1 wins probably wouldn’t matter. It would be fun to see what a 0-4 at home this weekend would do to their RPI though.
WSU wasn't near #16 at the time. Plus they could still come back and get in Q1 again. As to ECU they are supposed to get their top starting pitchers back from arm fatigue this week. So I am not worried that they'll continue to lose games after our series if he stays healthy.

I know but it still would be fun to sweep and see who is right. They started the year #16 but I know they weren’t that high when we met them

It would most certainly be fun to sweep them and find out. Hopefully we do sweep and they stay Q1 for our sake. As we win against them our RPI will go up so that ultimately softens the blows RPI wise for them.

Wow. And he has UNO getting in. I guess he thinks they will win the Southland automatic. And only 8 SEC teams in.

LSU wins at Auburn jumps to #20
We remain at #71
It’s going to be hard to keep LSU out if they finish with a Top 20 RPI.

They have previously had a season where they finished with an RPI in the 20's and didn't get in due to a poor record in the SEC. Their finishing stretch is a lot easier than what they have played so far.

All is not lost. We move up two spots with today’s road loss. Now #69
With the next three loses we could jump to #63
Although Houston lost again at home to a bad Cincy team 7-2.

I wonder if we could schedule a mid-week game with USM. Like us. they do not have any mid-week games left and we could sure use a bump in the rpi.

No. The AAC won’t allow because of the Covid BS.
We’re now up to #68 even with the loss. A win today could jump us up to the 50’s.

I'm so over this covid-sissyness. Never saw a conference hurt their own teams from advancing to the post season. Moronic.

Judges and politicians (lawyers) are the scourge of the country and dictate everything we are allowed to do with their twisted "interpretations" of the Constitution generating fear of legal liability in every decision we make.

This would help us immensely. Three wins vs Q1, on top of taking two from ECU would be great.

IMHO, for us to get in, need to win regular season title or finish the season no worse than 6-2 with ECU winning tournament. If another ASC team wins the tournament, Tulane will get edged out.

LSU getting it done. Beat La Tech 16-8 tonight to get its 30th win and move into the Top 20 RPI. They will get in the tournament somehow.
Boyd’s World needs report says LSU can still get to a top 16 RPI still if they win 2/3 against Alabama and win 2/3 at A&M or win 2/3 against Alabama and sweep A&M

I doubt it’s going to matter much. We’re probably going to get schooled in the AAC tournament—we haven’t beaten anybody of any consequence this year. If by some miracle we got into a Regional it’ll be two and done—just enough to get Jewett a contract extension.

Ask yourself who is to blame.

This should be fun.
