UCF also changed coaches. Many, myself included, believe they stepped up hiring a better coach than the one that left. Under Gus Malzahn they will be as good or better than the 2020 team that lost 3 regular season games by a total of 12 points. Picking them 6th loses credibility when they've won 41 of their last 48 games, and are returning the best QB in the conference, if not the country.

The algorithm may struggle with new coaches, I do wonder how it handles them. I agree that Gus is a step up from heupel and I think that how most of their fan base feels as well.
