UCF also changed coaches. Many, myself included, believe they stepped up hiring a better coach than the one that left. Under Gus Malzahn they will be as good or better than the 2020 team that lost 3 regular season games by a total of 12 points. The algorithm may struggle with new coaches, I do wonder how it handles them. I agree that Gus is a step up from heupel and I think that how most of their fan base feels as well.
