Hall's very predictable play calling leads to another embarrassing loss on national TV.

Earlier in the year I predicted that Tulane would surprise everyone with a win against a heavily favored team. They will. Just not this week. Even with injuries, the SMUgh passing attack will expose our weak secondary. Look for them to generate 500 yards of offense without their best receiver and best running back. Pratt will continue to grow and improve but sadly, it's not enough.

SMU wins straight up, covers the 6.5 spread and the 66.5 pt OU goes OVER .

Final: SMU 42 - Tulane 28

I also predict that the morale on this board will plunge to an all time low. Not only will posters demand the firing of Fritz, Dannen, President Fitts, all football coordinators and position coaches, but they will also angrily propose that Susan Fritz (Willie's spouse) be removed from her Uptown Sewing Circle for having the poor judgment to marry a coach that cannot defeat AAC opponents.

Bi touched on this earlier in the week. This is where Tulane wins and draws you back in and then reverts to form:

Tulane 31
SMU 28

We should break the winless streak against ranked teams. SMU is ranked because 50 other teams aren't playing anymore. Plus goodness knows we're due.

Can't see us slowing down their offense. Hopefully we'll see the playbook opened a bit more for Pratt. I just wonder if we'll ever see Fritz allow a game plan that calls for 40-45 passes a game.

By the way, was there any news on Claybrook?

The Houston game showed that if we call/play our offense how we want, we do not have a very good offense. Hopefully they let Pratt sling it a bit, but if we are not healthy up front, we wont have the time to do much with it. Deep balls on the sidelines and hopefully we connect on a few of them.

question...does the "visitors side" of the score board have "triple digits" ?

I've been thinking for a week that the Wave responds this week and this is the time we get that upset we're not expecting. It draws fans back in off the ledge, and renews confidence in the coaching staff. But my head tells me this is on ESPN, and there's too many holes in this team that have been exposed. The Wave plays it's heart out but comes up short.

This game will likely demand heavy use of numbing agents.
