Idk, that article is pretty weak. There is far more ample evidence that Columbus was an animal.
Not as weak as those two clown authors cited in your links above--one a privileged private prepster and Ivy Leaguer who probably has never been outside of New England, and who has already been duped at least once by a bogus scientific study, and the other the self proclaimed "Angriest Black Man in America"--yea, I'd believe what they write
I just grabbed the first two of hundreds upon hundreds of articles. A Harvard grad and a lawyer were the first two. “Probably has never been outside New England” grow the fuck up with that sort of comment you child. It is just an article and mine you the guy lives in NY and apparently spends half his days in DC, but whatever not the point. Should I post the hundreds of other information on Columbus’s horrible actions for you to discredit, or should people just decide for themselves?

You get on that soapbox and defend Columbus as a hero who deserves statues dedicated to him in public squares. Good stuff. You should be proud, congrats.

Also, after another read, the article you referenced is a freakin joke and there are numerous articles telling a very different story. But that is just fakes news, right?
You're all confused mba. I didn't defend Columbus or post any articles about him. You criticize the article Wave755 posted, and I'm just saying the two you posted are laughable. Instead of "grabbing" articles, try reading a few and looking at their source. Beware--you're very vulnerable to being led by the nose.

I am led by no one. Columbus is an animal. Whether u think american history is better with statues to animal’s like Columbus and folks who fought to preserve slavery, that’s fine, but I am not led by any “nose”. I will be clear, what about columbus, as a proud Italian american whose grandfather came to the states from Genoa (Alfredo Malatesta), should I be promoting?. His freaking diary? Or the ample evidence of his horrendous sins published again and again and again and again? God forbid people would be offended celebrating an animal who brutalized human beings for his own gain.
But hey let’s read his journal to fund that he was a good guy.

I am looking forward to reading the diaries of the true animals, the African's who went thru the country side, capturing their brothers and sisters to be sold at the slave ports of call ....all in the name of making a buck, and it is still a thriving business .. where is the African American out cry on behave of their ancestors, why are they not in Africa, putting a stop to human trafficking...
Be a Hero Today.... Adopt a Shelter Pet... The Beatles once sang "Can't Buy Me Love"... I disagree, unconditional Love can be bought, for the nominal adoption fee at your local Pet Shelter !

In light of the following, isn’t it time we “cancelled” the “animal” Abraham Lincoln from American history?
*****
“While Lincoln is revered for ending slavery, he is viewed among the Sioux as a president who oversaw the largest mass execution in American history when 38 Sioux were hung in Minnesota during the Dakota War of 1862. Mount Rushmore, Semans said, should be used to tell that story.” https://www.argusleader.com/story/news/ ... 198922001/

It’s all or nothing.
You realize how similar people like you are to the wacky left. Ya’ll should be better friends on the “outrage” trail.
Remove a statue of a confederate general and then site the wacky left overstepping or folks with an internet connection removing rushmore. Then the wacky right starts fighting to not wear a simple mask and how we are a socialist society. How now we are going to rename every institution with the smallest connection to slavery.
You and the wacky left just feed on each other like virus’s and foxnews and msnbc exec just count their money with glee. Enjoy you lemming status. Mostly wasting my time as you won’t ever wake up to form a POV outside the reality you are comfortable with, which frankly is pretty cool. Wish I didn’t need to think critically and could just believe one reality and be dine with it all.

I’m so happy we can finally bring the races together renaming statues, street signs, sports teams and historical figures from 100’s of years ago. . Damn I which I’d had thought about that before civil rights.

Point was, Lincoln was hardly perfect, but he was great. Columbus, Cristobal Colon, argued by many in Spain to have been Spanish and not Italian (DNA studies continue at present), was hardly perfect but he was great. And yes, I have travelled to Columbus’ burial monument located inside of the Cathedral of Seville. :D

Comparing Lincoln to Columbus. Missed this one, good stuff. History lesson for all. Two men who achieved so much.
Congrats on visiting Columbus’s grave, must have been a proud memory. I am sure Lincoln is proud to be compared to Mr Colon.

They were both great. And, a trip to the Cathedral of Seville, where Columbus' burial Monument is located, is quite an experience. :D

Oh, and for your edification, Sevilla is in Spain.

And to think, the Oglala Sioux claim Lincoln is a villain and want his image removed from Mount Rushmore?🤷🏻‍♂️

John McDonogh Monument @ Lafayette Square toppled - Another sad day for New Orleans.
https://www.klfy.com/louisiana/john-mcd ... l-toppled/

My office looks down on Lafayette Square from Poydras Center. When I arrived this morning and saw NOPD cops everywhere, sadly I immediately thought of the McDonogh Monument. I hope the City has the intestinal fortitude to repair and re-install this historic monument?

And after all, the McDonogh Monument across the street from Gallier Hall was only 122 years old, erected in 1898 and paid for with the nickel donations of New Orleans public school children, so why not destroy it? And, do so like true cowards under the cover of darkness in the very early hours after midnight?

And yes, undoubtedly Mic Man’s kind of men.
