We can run the ball down their throats and won’t have to pass against that level of competition.

UCF isn’t that good. A good team would have destroyed us today.

Nice long Hail Mary to McCleskey. Fattens the passing stats—yawn.

Missed a FG early. That's the difference.

UCF touched the ball first! It should be Tulane ball.

After further review Glover touched the ball first. Almost pulled it off.

Always nice to hear that 60%
of the crowd was from the visitor's side.

Countless missed opportunities to win this games. Lack of discipline and execution continues to haunt us, and make the difference in games like this. Not to mention our unimaginative play calling. Really frustrating.

Acknowledging that WF walked into a stage 5 dumpster fire. 4 years in and we’re stuck in mediocrity. Consistently mediocre, but still mediocre. Stagnant. When does the program make another jump. I’m gonna try to remain patient. Because there have been improvements and even the good teams have their hands full against Tulane. Too much expectations?

Need to stop looking for quick fixes at the most important position.
Yes, there's no doubt the QB.is a very important position. But without great play from primary positions it doesn't matter who your QB is. The GOAT, Tom Brady looks ordinary when placed under pressure.
O-lineman, D-lineman & Cornerbacks determine the outcome of more football games than any other position groups
You can argue that QB is not only a secondary position, but actually a tertiary position in the order of needs.
To get good we're going to need a lot more talent where it counts most.

Need to upgrade QB and defensively and we’ll be at least an 8 win team.

No doubt. He had a good series and gets us a Touchdown and then disappears from the offense. Beyond frustrating.

I really let myself believe things were different after the Houston game.
Really wanted to win these last 2 so we didn’t get relegated to another shit tier bowl

Defense regression is a big reason this team has not improved upon 6 wins. Despite frustrations with the offense, it’s a much better unit compared to last season.

Yep. We need a change at DC.

What was the deal with McMillan today? He has been lauded for his ball handling. Yet today he would just straight up hand off and just stand there watching the play making no attempt to create confusion as to who had the ball. It was Senior Day and we had a lot to play for and he does that. Piss poor.

As to the D early on we were in position to make some tackles that would have stopped drives and just whiffed. We got lucky with several drops or the score would have been a lot worse.

As to ST's our punter showed up again after being missing since the second game and we had the TD return to keep us in it. Good job for the most part.

As to the coaching it's been disappointing to see our lack of attention to detail. That's one thing WF has stressed and we have failed miserably at this season.

SMU is beatable. Let's end on a positive note.

We lost our 3rd game before we won our 6th. But you are right, we've regressed after a good start to the season.

Our offensive philosophy for the second half of the season seems to have reverted right back to the play calling of Doug Ruse? Really perplexing? Dauphine & McClesky are playmakers, we have inexplicably underused both for the second half of the season?

McM plays with this Joe Cool persona--maybe too much so. He's lauded for being "in control" and calm, but at the same time there almost seems to be a lack of effort. It might help if he acted like he still had the ball after he hands it off, but what do the coaches say?

Just some random observations:
The coaches are pretty much doing the best with what we have. We need a few 4 star kids to push us over the top.
The OL is the #1 glaring weakness on this team. Our offensive coordinator has lost confidence in our OL to pass block for longer than 3 seconds. Our QB looked at the initial read and never went through the progressions because he has no faith he can stand in the pocket.
Unfortunately, the only teams that had better players in the trenches (minus Navy) were all at the back end of the season. We have to get better upfront if we are going to win against those type of teams.
Sitting on the UCF side, it always appears the better teams we play have players who look like grown men. We have to get to a point where we are redshirting the majority of our freshmen class.
This is still a work in progress and it will take a full Fritz class(5 yrs) to get us rolling. With that said, we are going bowling for the 2nd year in a row and the future looks bright.
Finally, we will be competing for a conference championship before Tulane gets their act together with the concessions stands! Another pitiful performance.

True, for a relatively small crowd, the lines were atrocious!
