I see this game as a toss up. Army's performance and who they've played this year I would say is pretty even with us.

Army 42

I think the bye week is huge for the Wave. Assuming Johnson is healthy:

Tulane 41
Army 17

Alfred Thomas was also hurt up front. His injury looked worse than JJ's. We'll need them both in this matchup. Hopefully the extra time makes them available.

45 Tulane
38 Army

They can score but our D knows the option and shows up when needed most. Gap would be a little bigger but I expect there to be some "disagreeable" officiating

After having a bit more time to study the game I am revising my prediction. My new prediction is:

Tulane 42: Tulane scores 28 in the first half.

Army 21: Army scores 14 in the fourth quarter.

I respect the hell out of that program for what they do and how they do it. 15 games in a row at home is great . BUT , in that number is Morgan state (twice), rice (twice) Colgate, Lafayette (the other), liberty , east Michigan, utep, Fordham , Buffalo, the best wins are duke, temple and Hawaii. All streaks end.

Fritz goes for two after scoring a touchdown late in the game, to avoid going to overtime, and is successful.

Army gave up 21 points to Morgan State, 14 points in the first quarter & 7 points in the second quarter. Sure, Army may have been a bit down for Morgan State, but still Army didn’t pull away from Morgan State until scoring 21 points in the fourth quarter. Army will not “wear down” the Wave. And, Morgan State passed for 230 yards against this Army team.

We are a better team than Army upfront on both sides of the ball and have more speed than they do. Look for McMillan, and Jalen McCleskey and Darnell Mooney to shine against this team complementing our strong running game on Saturday.

Good chance J. Johnson and Thomas don't play up front. If either plays it will be at less than 100%. Not good timing. Our depth at LB has improved though as Anderson and Lawal have started playing more. This is a good time to unleash Dauphine much like we did in the second half of the season last year. Good chance that our passing game will show improvement, the key to the rest of our season, as Hall and McMillan have had a lot of time to smooth things out.
