Be a Hero Today.... Adopt a Shelter Pet... The Beatles once sang "Can't Buy Me Love"... I disagree, unconditional Love can be bought, for the nominal adoption fee at your local Pet Shelter !

I think we can all agree that it will be Tulane's biggest game of the week.
Cap, Thursday on ESPN, beginning with the 6:30 p.m. pregame until about 10:00 p.m. it will be all Tulane v. UH for a national audience. This is big for our program, time to show America post-Cow/Dick we are back!

There should be a pre-game show highlighting the story of how Tulane has worked so hard to climb out of the Cow/Dick rubble. And how it has been a bigger struggle than trying to recover from Katrina.. Katrina was a one or two year disaster, Cowen was an 18 year disaster.

In particular the first half of this video is so awesome. Celebrate our history throw in a celebrity voice over and end with some of our modern innovation. Brilliant I hope ESPN does something with this after we’re up 40 in the 3rd quarter.

I think the interlocking TU was a great look, for the 1970's. I think the Angry Wave is timeless.

“Sometimes you gotta go back to actually move forward. And I don’t mean go back to reminisce or chase ghosts — I mean go back to see where you came from, where you been, how you got here. See where you’re goin’. I know there are those who say you can’t go back. Yes, you can. You just have to look in the right place.”

Time for Tulane to put away the ghosts and revisit our glory. Maybe for some reason we needed Mathew McConahaughey to exorcise our demons

The Hype is building on Twitter. This is awesome, looks like we have our ESPN National crew:

Win or lose, notice how under Dannen and Fitts things in athletics seem to matter? We're actually showing a control of the media and an attention to little things.

"A control of the media," what does that mean, and how does it contribute to winning, exactly?

Branding. They’re doing a masterful job of branding the Tulane product.

How about landing ESPN Gameday on campus sometime? I know a certain FCS School that's had it twice, which is 2x more than Tulane has had. Their Director of Media Relations was clearly doing some things the right way.

I was referring to controlling the media narrative. Branding, social media presence, building hype with local news, all that stuff.

Tulane ignored this element under Cowen and Dickson.

First thought that came through my mind......is this really the same institution as even 5 years ago? The marketing was just bad, it was none existent. It's not quite cutting edge but it's approaching it!

I don't give a damn about what they wear this week. WIN THE DAMNED GAME. That's all that matters. This is probably the most important game in Fritz's tenure at Tulane. WE NEED TO WIN.
