Perchance to dream:

Tulane 21
Auburn 20

Our defense holds Auburn to two field goals in the first half. Halftime score 14-6, Wave.

Auburn puts together a comeback in the second half to take a 20-14 lead.

But then the drama begins. With less than two minutes remaining and Auburn with a first and ten at the Tulane 7, Cameron Sample recovers a fumble to give the Wave one last chance. Justin McMillan drives the length of the field and with 10 seconds remaining, gives the handoff to Darius Bradwell-Blackwell who punches it it for the score. Wave 20-Auburn 20. Then after four consecutive Tulane penalties, Merek Glover kicks the extra point from the Tulane 44 yard line. Final: 21-20, Tulane.

But then I awakened to learn that I had slept through the game and those Chinese shrimp had given me indigestion. The actual final score:

The Wave jump out early with great drives and turnovers, but Auburn claws back and score a late TD to make it close when the Wave then get the onside kick and run the clock out.

We will not get any calls at Auburn. I refer to that place as Awe burned because of the history of bad calls or no calls.

With a qualification:
If we can put some heat on the qb and cover their large receivers we will stay on this thing.

AU-38 TU-17..... too hot and too much depth to overcome...that said, I think this will be a game until very late in the 3rd or very early 4th Qtr when an INT is run back for a TD...at that time I think the score will 24-17...the Int-TD will make 31 and then they will score a garbage time TD to make it look worse that the final score...overall TU will play pretty well, but the "total team" speed, only matched by UCF will be too much......

Auburn scores late to put game away.
Tulane hangs in and even had the lead a couple times.
Moral victory.

One goal: come out of game healthy. Those Auburn defensive players are monster hitters.

We're not quite there yet. MAYBE if it were a home game, but not on the road.

Unfortunately down here all you going to hear about is how LSU beat Texas.

If we win and they lose, all you'll hear about is how Texas beat LSU.

We play well and look competitive, but they pull away in the 4th.

There's some truth to that but things are changing some. We got a good piece of coverage on 4thDown on 4 and Final Play on Fox locally. On Final Play Kincaid even referred to our game as an intriguing match up. So don't throw the towel in yet. Win and hope they lose.

My sentiments entirely. As far as a prediction is concerned,
we lose but its not an embarrassment.

Perfect storm
Auburn going to have a huge letdown and will take Tulane lightly. Meanwhile Tulane looking to get itself and the AAC some respect with a big road win over a highly ranked SEC team.
The Wave pulls the upset of the day.
