Most projections have Auburn moving up to #7-8 in the new Polls. If we pull off the miracle would that put us into the Top 25? What a program changer that win would be.
Will Memphis or Cinci move into the Top 25 after their wins over Ole Miss/UCLA ? The projections so far don’t that them making it in.

Tulane and Willie Fritz need a signature win and a signature recruit. Defeating Auburn could be the win that lands next year's recruit.
The upset could get us there. At the least we'd be getting votes and be close to being in.

THIS.
Top 25 talk is way premature at this point. Let's see if we can hang with a top 15 team. We haven't beaten a ranked team in 35+ years.

And a huge step up from FIU.HoustonWave wrote: ↑Sun Sep 01, 2019 11:49 amAnd Auburn, even with a true freshman QB, is a vastly better team than Ole Miss or UCLA.

Someone always wants to prove he's the smartest person in the room and so he mischaracterizes the discussion. This is a WHAT IF discussion. It's on point too. We just mauled a team that we were only favored by 2 over. Follow up with the upset and yes it's possible we get ranked. NO ONE is taking Auburn for granted. Just like we respected FIU but believed we were better we respect Auburn and know it will be tough to pull off the win but in the current circumstances we believe there's a chance for it unlike when we played Ohio St. and Oklahoma.

Let me remind you that the football factory upriver plays Northwestern State in a couple weeks Alabama has a late season game against Western Carolina. Neither of those opponents are exactly powerhouse teams.nawlinspete wrote: ↑Sun Sep 01, 2019 6:32 pm And to guarantee an empty Yulman Septembsr 13 we have mighty Missouri State scheduled . Should we play competitively against Auburn or *gasp* pull the biggest upset in over a decade, you may be surprised to see how many fans are there.
I have very little control over the number of fans that attend games but I can purchase tickets and show up for every game. Are you a local, Pete? If so, do you attend games? If not, why not?
That would be the 1983 Yom Kippur upset of #18 Florida State. The 'Noles obviously were fasting and not themselves that day...
