One week away. Like most of us here I haven't been this excited about a season in a good while. We have plenty of players up for awards:

Want a marketing suggestion that would fill up Yulman? Give a coupon for a free Popeye's chicken sandwich to all ticket holders.. This is the craziest marketing phenomenon since the hula hoop and coonskin caps. The line at a nearby Popeye's extends for nearly a block down the street from the drive-through entrance. It wouldn't be much longer if they were giving away money.

I don't know what spurred the current give away and subsequent lines, but if it works, piggy back on it!

They should get one of the local Popeyes franchises to sign on for a free sandwich by showing your ticket after every Tulane win. Print it on the back of the tickets (too late this year) for the advertising for the franchisee.

I don’t think FIU has a chance in hell stopping this running game. As long as McM can hit throws to keep the defense honest, the Wave will score early and often.

Actually this is a great idea. Seriously, any alum or local business contact give away free Popeyes chicken sandwiches at the stadium (or coupons). Advertise it on the radio it would seriously get an xtra thousand or more people in the stands. . . It’s that crazy of a fad. And all students would show up

The print version of The Advocate had Guerry's outlook for the season. It's not on line yet. He picked Tulane to win the west.

Bingo! You broke the code. The short play-action pass game is essential with stick routes in zone & rub routes in man.
Post-snap identification in one second and getting the ball out within two seconds will be the challenge. Two seconds becomes an eternity when cool, calm heads prevail through repetition.

Have they posted the uniform unveiling for Thursday's game yet? I hope we're going with Green Helmets with the tidal Wave and blue face masks, blue jerseys and the white pants with the green stripe.

We want to be a national program and in order to do that, you've got to play people. This is a great league and I want to invite everybody to come out here Thursday evening and watch a ballgame, because you're going to be surprised at the level of play both on our team and in the opponents that come here to Yulman Stadium. So if you want to be a national program, you've got to play people.
Easy to say in August, but it doesn't sound like Coach Fritz is anxious to leave.

Tulane head coach Willie Fritz's Weekly Radio Show makes its 2019 season debut on Tuesday, Aug. 27 at 6 p.m., as it returns to Loft18 in Metairie (3128 Metairie Road) for the second straight season.

Thank you God.......So many have been waiting so long for this.. This uniform should be worn at all our Home games..

We will finally look like a Tulane Football Team we grew up with over the years.....AMEN

LET'S FLOOD DANNEN AND FRITZ WITH LETTERS/EMAILS ON HOW MUCH WE APPRECIATE THE TRADITIONAL GREEN JERSEY
UNIFORMS, AND WHAT IT MEANS TO MANY OF US, ALONG WITH A PLEA TO MAKE THEM OUR PERMANENT JERSEY AT ALL HOME GAMES......CAN'T HURT.
