Yes! We definitely deserve this! We have some die hards who stuck around through many tough times! The season isn’t over and we have tougher match ups ahead, but at least we go in to the latter part of the season with some serious confidence.

Bring on Memphis! We can beat these guys.

24-5. That’s the combined record of 5 of the last 6 teams we’re playing.
SMU 6-0
Memphis 5-1
Temple 5-1
Navy 4-1
UCF 4-2

We could easily go 1-5 if we don’t play our best from here on out.

Tulsa is no slouch this year either...we won't get the credit we're do but if we finish the season 8 wins or above, that's a damn good team

Sort of the reverse of last season. Good news is we're older and more experienced and have an offense now. We'll be fine.

7 wins was the most picked. One more chance.

If we lose to SMU, we'll be 6-6, just like last season. However, the six losses are misleading. Every team we lost to will have been ranked at some point during the season. Five of those six will have been on the road.

Including projections for the last few games, these teams will have a combined regular season record of 55-17, maybe 56-16 if Memphis beats Cincy.

Memphis 10-1 with Cin left (project as 10-2)
Navy 8-2 with Htn and Army left (project as 10-2)
SMU 9-2 with Tulane left (project as 10-2)
UCF 8-3 with USF left (project as 9-3)
Temple 7-4 with UConn left (project as 8-4)
Auburn 8-3 with Alabama left (project as 8-4)

Just because we lost to these six teams doesn't make us a bad team. I think for the most part, we won the games we expected to win, and lost the games we expected to lose. The conference as a whole was much much tougher this year. I think the conference only lost one G4 game all year, (Temple against Buffalo). Also, FIU will be bowl eligible as well, having beaten Miami, FL yesterday.

As long as Fritz is here, we'll continue to improve.

I take no personal joy from my original preseason prediction of 6-6. I got the Memphis and Houston games backwards. In mid-season I began having second thoughts and hoped we would go 7-5. There's still a chance, but based upon our consistent road woes, it doesn't seem very likely. Unless we defeat either/both of SMU and our bowl opponent, I will view the season as a disappointment.

We lose two games we should win: SMU, Navy

We squeak into a bowl at 6-6

I am already disappointed. I expected this team to win a minimum of 8 games. Things changed when we were hit with some key injuries.

Yes, I am disappointed, but I will take a 6-7 win season over what we have been accustomed to as Green Wave fans. A 6 win season is an accomplishment around here. As long as Fritz is here, we will be a bowl appearing program.

My well documented prediction was 7 wins before a bowl game. After we got off to a great start, I was hoping for 8 to 10 wins. But we've seemed to digress (and yes the second half of the schedule is much tougher and there's a chance we won't win our 7th.) I thought by now our offense would be firing on all cylinders, but we're still not. Let's hope we can put it together for one fabulous performance in the DFW Metroplex and beat the hell out of SMU.

Yep, unless Tulane beats SMU.

Based on the FIU game I would have thought we win more than 6.
