I agree with this. Winning 7+ games every year is a LOT different than winning 8.

We will always find a bowl game under his (WF) direction.
 there are are a total of 40 team-competitive bowls, including the national championship game. And, I believe last year to fill the 78 available bowl slots, a total of 10 teams (13% of all participants) with non-winning records (6–6) were invited to bowl games. And, 2018 was only the third time in the last eight years that no teams with losing seasons (6–7 or 5–7) were invited to fill available bowl berths.

So, it's not that hard to do today for going to bowl games.

And, when I was a kid there were only four bowls - Rose, Sugar, Orange & Cotton. Later, I believe the Liberty Bowl was inaugurated? A lot harder to go bowling back then.

+1, WF will take us to some kind of bowl game each year from now on. :)

is the "what" in regards to the Liberty Bowl being played indoors....if so, a little history, the bowl began in Philly in 1959 and later in Atlantic City, where it was played indoors at the Atlantic City /New Jersey Convention Center in 1964...the following year, the game was moved to Memphis

Maybe there were 4 bowl games people cared about, but by the early 1970's there were 11 bowl games. Over the next 20 years that expanded to 30+ bowl games. Sorry, but you have to go back to the 1950's to find only 4-6 bowl games.
01-02 Gator Bowl Auburn 35 Mississippi 28 Jacksonville, FL
1971-01-01 Cotton Bowl Notre Dame 24 Texas 11 Dallas, TX
1971-01-01 Orange Bowl Nebraska 17 Louisiana State 12 Miami, FL
1971-01-01 Rose Bowl Stanford 27 Ohio State 17 Pasadena, CA
1971-01-01 Sugar Bowl Tennessee 34 Air Force 13 New Orleans, LA
1970-12-31 Bluebonnet Bowl Oklahoma 24 Alabama 24 Houston, TX
1970-12-30 Peach Bowl Arizona State 48 North Carolina 26 Atlanta, GA
1970-12-28 Tangerine Bowl Toledo 40 William & Mary 12 Orlando, FL
1970-12-19 Pasadena Bowl Louisville 24 Long Beach State 24 Pasadena, CA
1970-12-19 Sun Bowl Georgia Tech 17 Texas Tech 9 El Paso, TX
1970-12-12 Liberty Bowl Tulane 17 Colorado 3 Memphis, TN
So if you want to keep believing that there was only 4 bowl games in 1970, I guess Tulane playing in the Liberty Bowl in 1970 didn't count.

Bunch of weapons:

Like what Patrick Johnson said about the O-Line. Hope it's accurate. Was surprised he didn't mention Dauphine when talking about our RB's.

Nice positive piece on the sports segment at 10 on WWL Channel 4. We're getting a lot of good coverage . Need to whip FIU's ass.

CFN has us playing in the Liberty Bowl. Kind of odd because the AAC doesn't have a Liberty Bowl Tie-in despite having a team there last year.

But I'd be very happy to be playing in a bowl game after Christmas!

I love the way McMillan runs. He's shifty at the line of scrimmage, and has a smooth effortless running style. I just hope his passing accuracy improves from last year. If he can hit his receivers, our offense should be very good and this could be a really good season for the Wave.

They must've seen your post and changed it because now it lists us in the Independence Bowl against Syracuse. I'd be very ok with that...get a p5 win against school with an unjustified big name.....in our backyard

Continues the steady ascent of the program. Keep WF one more year after that and truly compete for a AAC title/NY6 birth

Umm....we are in the AAC, which doesn't have a Liberty Bowl tie in. Syracuse is in the ACC which does. Kind of confusing, I know, especially given the AAC had a team in the Liberty Bowl 2018.

Very true. Graf has such energy and enthusiasm, along with unique voice inflection. I think he’s going to be very successful, as many non-Tulanians begin to appreciate his style and announcing ability.

I would love for us to play Syracuse more, they absolutely are UNJUSTIFIED in having a big name.
