Looks like we get to go visit Mr. Tulane hat thrower in 2019 and will host a home game against the Missouri State Bears (FCS). Here's a nice little fun fact, Missouri State use to be called Southwest Missouri State University (SMSU) before they changed their name to become Missouri State. As a little lad, I was once water/ball boy for SMSU Men's Bball. Roll Wave!

In order for this schedule to happen, two subtractions happened that were not included in the press release:

~ The Georgia Tech game (location TBA) that had been left after the cancelation of the other Georgia Tech game is gone. This was expected. It had been left as a location TBA, but everyone assumed it would eventually get canceled as well
~The lone ranger away game at Duke disappeared (presumably canceled) and a h/h with Duke in 2025 and 2026 appeared on future schedules instead. We have the home game in 2025

And for clarity, this entire thread is talking about 2019. The OP should read 2019.

The 2018 schedule is vs Wake, vs Nicholls, at UAB, and at Ohio State

Just heard from a friend, who is also a rabid Auburn fan, that he just got an email from Auburn saying that we are playing at Auburn in 2019. Not sure about any other games with Auburn, but I would hope we would get at least a 1 for 2.

My understanding is that it's a 1 for 0.

I think I will wait and ..... you know.... see who the players and staff are. Will we recruit as well as last year? Will we have transfers in? Out? Will the coaching staff remain 100% intact? Will Doug Ruse replace Eric Bieniemy as the offensive coordinator at Kansas City to direct the explosive Mahomes charge?

I think your question would be more fun and less metaphysical if you asked "Using the 2018 staff and players, how many games would Tulane win in 2019?

My guess would be fewer than we won in 2018.

Too early to tell. Depends on if we can upgrade our level of talent. I dont see that happening with this incoming recruiting class though. We were lucky to pick up McMillan late. We’d probably be 4-8 or 5-7 without him.

with zero Staff changes and a recruiting class in the 70's or low 80's at best 6-6

There's not a single team on that schedule that is unbeatable unlike the last two years when we had to play OU and OSU. Get it done Tulane.

Yep. I said when we got him it meant if Banks got hurt we'd still have a chance to win some games- as many as 6. We got there. Banks got hurt and if we didn't have McMillan we would have ended up with two wins.

You know what ‘Nut, for Tulane the 2018 season isn’t even over yet, unlike for Frank Wilson’s UTSA, 3-9, CUSA 2-6, we still have a bowl game to play.

Damn ‘Nut, you really are a “Texas turd blossom.”

considering the level of your IQ, thank U for the compliment, I look at the 2019 road games. .Auburn, Army, Temple, Memphis, Navy and then the Home "gimmies"...UCF, Houston, FIU,
yep, I can clearly see your 9 W's now

Agreed. Kliff Kingsbury just got fired at Texas Tech. Fritz should hire him as OC! At least we'd score a lot.

Kingsbury will not be on Tulane's staff any time soon....too many openings at PEE schools and if Les Miles is smart, he would be on the phone asap....add Kingsbury and keep the NOLA coach from KU's previous staff and U have some recruiting in roads in Texas and Louisiana...

That’s a tough 2019 schedule even if everything goes right in the offseason, which it probably won’t.

2018 was ranked 16th toughest schedule in America if I remember right. 2019 looks to be top-40 and in practically a more treacherous one.

Yes, we got an unhealthy dose of your “realist” the past few years concerning the mighty Universty of Texas, San Antonio Roadrunner football program.
