The breakdown:
https://www.theadvocate.com/new_orleans ... 946b0.html
We again face a bad defense. They are really bad against the run just when our staff finally figured out our best combo at RB. The difference from last weeks game is that Tulsa was the worst in the AAC in sacks and USF is 3rd. Hopefully we can handle the pressure. On the flip side they have poor offensive line play as per their Rivals writer while our D-Line has come into its own rushing the passer. Another difference from last week is that Tulsa was terrible in the fourth quarter all season whereas USF has finished strong in all their games till last week. A lot of teams worse than us have played with them through three quarters. Then lost. We need to be ahead by too much for them to come back in the 4th.
Wave Wallops USF 41-15

Go Wave. Beat USF. That is all.
Speak softly but carry a bigschtick! In Sumrall We Trust!
It's funny how much ESPN talking heads have derided USF the last 2 seasons as "the worst undefeated/1 loss team they've ever seen". Are they a powerhouse? Probably not. But Charlie Strong is 17-3 with 2 losses to Houston and 1 to UCF. They are fast and fun to watch.
I hope WF has the backs and D-line ready to fire on all cylinders because USF is gonna score a ton of points!

My guess is we'll be run heavy this game, to give USF fewer possessions if we can. Ball security becomes a must.Ruski wrote: ↑Sat Nov 03, 2018 7:38 am It's funny how much ESPN talking heads have derided USF the last 2 seasons as "the worst undefeated/1 loss team they've ever seen". I totally agree. If ever there was a game that screamed "Play Keep Away" it's this one. They can score points in bunches, particularly in the later stages of the game. We need a solid effort, dominate time of possession, and take advantage when they load the box to stop our running game. We'll probably need at least 30 points to win this game.RobertM320 wrote: ↑Sat Nov 03, 2018 8:11 am My guess is we'll be run heavy this game, to give USF fewer possessions if we can. No doubt we’ll be run heavy. They’re awful against the run and with McMillan’s passing problems last week that’s the safest bet around.

Needless to say, LSU v. ‘Bama and Saints v. L A Rams have sucked up all of the “sports oxygen” for our state this week. It would be so nice to surprise USF while ‘dem Tiggers get whipped in B.R. But, as a road team we are horrendous under WF.
Here’s hoping for our 5th road win of the WF era.

Hopefully we see more progress from McMillan, Dauphine, the O-line, D-line. It'll be tough to get to 5 wins, much less 6. We still got plenty to watch for though.

He's an inferior football player, but McMillan actually runs the offense as designed. You really can tell the difference.

1. Qb didn't want to run the option as scripted
2. WF didn't want to pound the ball with Dauphine/Bradwell

We cannot do this every rushing play for obvious reasons, but I sure wish most of the tackle to tackle rushes were handled by Bradshaw and most of the perimeter rushes were given to Dauphine. Both are talented, and Bradshaw has sneaky speed.

I also hope someday we see a screen pass and / or perimeter pass to Dauphine.

24-3 Tulane, with 5 minutes left in the first half. Who saw this coming?

Defense just keeps getting it done. And the coaching staff seems to have discovered Dauphine—at last.

If we lose this game, it will feel worse than getting smoked by 40. I hope we can continue the game plan in the 2nd half.
