It wouldn't bother me to see UCF hang a ridiculous number on Marshall. They're off to a great start, clearly playing hard in the bowl game they got relegated to. And I really don't like Marshall.

UCF is takin' care of business. Both teams are quick and hard hitting--neither team is showing any lack of motivation in this one, despite the lopsided score so far. This should be a big win for the AAC.

Man we would have had a great narrative if SMU hadn’t S**t the proverbial bed. Hoping Cinci, Navy, and Memphis take care of business

A great job by the UCF coaching staff to prevent the Knights from playing like they were disappointed in their bowl selection.
BTW: Robert, they finally updated the Knights website and they lost two games by 3 points and one by 1 point which equals 7 points for their three losses. Most of the year they had one of their 3 point losses as a 1 point loss, so you were right. I was going off the website (and despite watching most UCF games don't remember the exact score of every one of them) and kept insisting it was 3 losses by 5 points. My bad.

Definitely. Slipped my mind. I hope those Temple Linebackers and their D show up, those guys are studs and hit as hard as most of that Auburn D.RobertM320 wrote: ↑Mon Dec 23, 2019 8:46 pmAnd Temple. Overall Memphis is def the most important game.
And D, if our Green Wave had played 4 quarters this year against UCF we would have beat them. There was no real talent gap between the 2 teams. Under WF we have come a long way for talent level, I remember under “Buffet” Bob Toledo when it seemed UCF was a head taller than us @ every position. In 2010 they beat us @ the Dome 61 to 14, I attended that “Buffet” Bob Toledo era massacre and humiliation.DfromCT wrote: ↑Mon Dec 23, 2019 9:27 pm A great job by the UCF coaching staff to prevent the Knights from playing like they were disappointed in their bowl selection.

Happily, those days are over for Wave fans.
In 2015 they went 0-12 and under CJ we beat them 45-31.Wave755 wrote: ↑Tue Dec 24, 2019 12:29 pmAnd D, if our Green Wave had played 4 quarters this year against UCF we would have beat them. In 2015 George O'Leary retired before the season started. He just didn't resign until after the season ended. That team had WAY WAY WAY too much talent to go winless. He just stopped coaching. They should take down the statue of him in front of the "Bounce House" because of how badly he mailed it in.tpstulane wrote: ↑Tue Dec 24, 2019 2:04 pmIn 2015 they went 0-12 and under CJ we beat them 45-31.Wave755 wrote: ↑Tue Dec 24, 2019 12:29 pmAnd D, if our Green Wave had played 4 quarters this year against UCF we would have beat them. I think there was still a talent gap in that UCF game. I think they started playing conservatively, which allowed us back in the game (and some nice bounces). Their play calling, QB, and weapons on offense were electric and gashed us everywhere early. We could have beaten them no doubt, but I think they were still more talented. Another team that was amazingly more talented than us (this time on defense) was Temple. It was mind blowing how tough they were, how hard they hit and their open field tackles. A single line backer had no problem with an open field tackle of one of our stud RB’s and would lay a lick on him.
I will say next year I think we will have evened the playing field with everyone (outside of maybe Memphis & Cinci) and probably will have a talent advantage on several team conference teams.

I didn't see a single play, but reading that article, SMU was just plain bad in their bowl game. If you get to the bottom, it's also interesting to note that, for the most part, CUSA has dominated that bowl game. And the writer makes a good point in that the AAC loses any credibility gained during the regular season when it loses games like this one. We cannot have the conference go under .500 during bowl season, and this should be a HUGE wakeup call for the Wave versus USM.golfnut69 wrote: ↑Thu Dec 26, 2019 11:52 am https://collegefootballnews.com/2019/12 ... rilla-bowl

The most talented teams don't win bowl games. The most motivated ones do.

He's not telling us anything we didn't know. It's happened almost every year the conference has existed. Our teams have no excuse not to be up as they have had plenty of warnings. Just win.
