Last year was last year. It's in the past.

This year is this year.

Last year ULa-La had the better team and season. This year it looks like we do after one game. We lost to OU by less than they lost to UT. We're both 0-1. That's all that matters. Well, that and no ex-flash chest-thumping tonight or tomorrow.

🤔, I think we would have beaten ULALA last year too. Last year ULALA had 6 one score wins & thanks to Covid escaped playing Coastal Carolina in the Mighty ‘Belt Championship game. This year they will lose in addition to Texas at a very minimum Appy St., Liberty & probaby Ohio too. They don’t play the Chanticleers.

I think they would have beaten us handily, as we would only play about 40 of 60 minutes a year ago. We've discussed this before, neither one of us will change our minds about it. But they beat better teams than the ones we lost to.

Last year’s ULALA season was all “smoke & mirrors.” The remainder of this season will confirm this, just wait and see.

They could go 0-12 this year and that wouldn't change my mind. Last year was last year. Is that a tough concept to grasp? Every season is a different TEAM, every season the different TEAM takes on it's own life, personality, habits. Their 2020 team made a habit of winning and playing full games. Their 2020 team beat better teams than we lost to. Their only loss in 2020 was to Coastal Carolina, a team you predicted would light them up in the Sun Belt Championship game. A team you say makes their schedule so much easier by not being on it in 2021. A team that UL-L lost to by a whopping 3 points. Smoke and mirrors, I'm sure. Just like it was for ULa-La going into Ames, Iowa and beating an Iowa State team that finished in the top 10. Smoke and mirrors? Or going to Boone, NC and beating Appalachian State, smoke and mirrors, yeah right! They would have smoke and mirrored us to death last year. And again, last year was last year. 2021 isn't 2020, different team, just as Tulane and every program in the country has a different team. Is it ego or ignorance that prevents you from seeing what the rest of college football fans saw plain as the back of their hands? You're ONLY argument is "smoke and mirrors." Pride and ego are almost as harmful as ignorance. Be real.

In 2020 ULALA beat Ga. State 34 to 31 in OT; ULALA beat Ga. Sou. 20 to 18 at Lafayette; ULALA beat Ark. St. 27 to 20 @ Lafayette. And, they lucked out when the ‘Belt championship game against CC was cancelled due to Covid. Yesterday was a “reality check” for ULALA.

ULALA remains in the Sunbelt West Division. My Alma Mater Archbishop Rummel High School could win the ‘Belt West Division.

Why did they luck out? They lost to them by 3 earlier in the year, they might have won that Championship game. And sorry, but your last sentence draws the BS flag. Actually, a flag is too small, make it a BS banner. Your alma mater would get beat by the worst team in that conference like a state champion HS varsity playing a lowly JV, and I'm not a sunbelt fan. But it's a ludicrous claim that's more than just an exaggeration. Most D3 teams would beat Rummel. You are living a different reality.

But back to your post, you keep proclaiming that the Sun Belt Championship getting cancelled was a lucky break. Either you didn't know that the two teams played a very close game earlier (in which case your ignorance again is showing through) or you simply are grasping at straws, throwing out something you think sounds logical when anyone that follows college football knows it's nonsense.

ULALA was running out of juice the longer the season progressed, CC got stronger. Playing the Chanticleers at CC would have burst the ULALA bubble last year rather than yesterday on Saturday. The Covid season is now over, back to the “real” top 25.

Yeah you right. Their last four games were: 38-10 W, 70-20 W, 24-21 W on the road in a snowy Boone, NC, and 31-24 W in their bowl game. But whatever you say.
