The article makes some good points but I still think he would not turn down the job. There won't be any other P5 offers walking in that door.Wave755 wrote: ↑Sat Mar 13, 2021 4:09 am For many good reasons SB Nation recommends WF not even consider KU “dumpster fire.” https://www.underdogdynasty.com/2021/3/ ... n-athletic
Coaching Changes
God Bless Everyone!
+1, I would think KU is the only P5 which will ever give serious consideration to WF. If not KU, WF will be here until he chooses to retire. WF’s age and mixed record for success at Tulane are too big of issues for almost all other P5s. Les Miles, also in his 60s, had the “aura” of both the SEC and a NC @ LSU working for him for hire at a bottom of the barrel P5 job like KU; WF has neither of those things.ajcalhoun wrote: ↑Sat Mar 13, 2021 8:07 amThe article makes some good points but I still think he would not turn down the job. Exactly. It all really depends on how much longer Fritz wants to coach. If it's five years or less, he'll probably take any P5 offer that comes along. Like everyone else, Fritz won't win at KU, and would be out after four or five years. If he's indifferent to the fact that there would be no career rebound after that, then he'll probably take a KU offer. If he truly wants to coach beyond five years, he's already in the catbird's seat at Tulane.Wave755 wrote: ↑Sat Mar 13, 2021 8:41 am+1, I would think KU is the only P5 which will ever give serious consideration to WF.
