The Road to Omaha 2021
I call bullshit. The kids have been in Omaha over a week. Probably asymptomatic. Doesnt seem to hurt the young. Lately there has been more problems with youngsters getting the shotand having bad reactions than with having Covid. But the media won't tell you that.
Actually the truth is the variants that are now around are affecting the young very much so.

I mean the extenze. Got vaccinated like the dog. I’d eat a bar of soap to get back to normal. Or whatever normal was before this world started rotating the wrong way.

Sure seems to me like the NCAA trying to protect their precious SEC schools. How convenient, two of them make the finals.

Really disappointed this year. NC State got hosed. Vandy got a nice advantage by having two off days to Miss St’s one. I’m pulling for Jake Gautreau. Hate seeing two SEC schools in the finals especially this year when their best team Arkansas got knocked out at home by NC St.

Did anyone else notice the Texas outfielder that the game winning hit went to? Yes, he probably didn't have a play on the runner, though the runner had to score from second and he got to the ball quickly. But he threw the ball to 2nd base where there was no play whatsoever. Even if the runner is safe by a wide margin make the effort to throw home for crying out loud! I don't think his teammate even bothered to catch his throw.

This is the third straight season 2018, 2019, and now 2021 (The CWS was cancelled in 2020.) that Miss St has been to the CWS. No other team in the country did this. Could this finally be their year to win it?
Good Luck Jake!

Tim Corbin on the verge of adding another Championship to his resume. He's re-loading with an incredible recruiting class, if it stands up through the MLB draft. He has a few PG "10"s coming in to pick up where Leiter and Rocker left off. From what I know about Corbin, LSU would be the last place he'd hang his hat, so their money won't buy him away from Nashville. Vanderbilt is probably the perfect job for Tim.

In one hand you have lifetime assistant who steps all over himself every time he talks. In the other hand you have an up in coming coach who had already proven he could recruit to Tulane. Oh and he happens to be an alum.
Who do you choose? Who do you choose?
This series just made TD look even worse.
What a game by MSU.
One thing for sure Jake just elevated his prospects with that title and Miss St’s scoring performance.mbawavefan12 wrote: ↑Wed Jun 30, 2021 9:54 pmIn one hand you have lifetime assistant who steps all over himself every time he talks. Smart for Dannen to wait until someone else hires Gautreau before we move on from Jewett. That way he can’t get turned down by Gautreau
Yes. I think that ship has sailed. He’s going to get a higher profile job than we can currently offer.Profoundwizard wrote: ↑Wed Jun 30, 2021 10:19 pm Smart for Dannen to wait until someone else hires Gautreau before we move on from Jewett. That way he can’t get turned down by Gautreau

Yep. We’re stuck with the Dannen/Jewett donkey act while capable Tulane alums move on to bigger and better things—pathetic.
Tulane is the University of Louisiana
He was an assistant at Tulane for 5 years and we never made a Regional in all that time. Then he was out of coaching for several years . Hopefully he is a much better coach now than then . But he's at a school that recruits itself so hard to tell.mbawavefan12 wrote: ↑Wed Jun 30, 2021 9:54 pmIn one hand you have lifetime assistant who steps all over himself every time he talks. 1. He recruited the core group that took us into the postseason in 15 and 16.winwave wrote: ↑Wed Jun 30, 2021 11:33 pmHe was an assistant at Tulane for 5 years and we never made a Regional in all that time. 2. He’s recruiting against LSU, Vandy Florida etc. Other schools that you’d say “recruits itself” and he did a better job putting together his team than any of the other schools and Mississippi doesn’t get the benefit of a TOPS lottery program like nearly every other school in the SEC does.
Really think about it, if schools like LSU recruit themselves then why do they pay more for a recruiting coordinator in baseball than we do for our head coach?
