Talk about being in a different league literally and figuratively! LSU fans think they'll get Schloss, who's making $1.56 million/year at TCU. I don't know about the buyout, but he's got a pretty sweet gig going there.

The problem with LSU is that they expect to get back to the way things were under Bertman. That will never happen. Many more programs now pour resources into their baseball programs. No one will dominate the sport like that again.

Schloss would be crazy to leave TCU for that moral cesspool in Baton Rouge.

Gautreau moving up the list for the LSU job
https://theathletic.com/2628505/2021/06 ... ed_article
… there’s a feeling from some longtime LSU baseball fans that the program could use a young go-getter like Gautreau, so it’ll be interesting to see what direction Woodward takes on this hire. Personally, I would like to see them get a young candidate who can lead the program for the next decade-plus, and Gautreau’s ties to Louisiana and documented success in Starkville make him an attractive candidate….

Would be a great hire for them.
Not sure I’d take it if I’m him

I don’t have an athletic subscription. Is this written by Jeff Duncan? Not to say he doesn’t have any info but I’ve never known him to be too plugged in with LSU baseball sources

It is difficult to accept the fact that the Nicholls AD is searching for a new head coach because he wants to win while Tulane’s AD is lounging out at his lake house in Iowa and is signing Jewett to an extension. It is a slap in the face to Tulane baseball fans.

An extension has not been announced at this point. So the thing to do if you're a season ticket holder, if you haven't already, is to call the AD's office and let him know you won't be renewing if he's coming back

Great for Schloss!
I guess getting eliminated early was good here and helped hasten his move. One less candidate to go to BR.

ASU fired their coach because he could not advance past the regional round. What does that say for our Admin? The guy was 50 games over .500 and went to 4 regionals in 7 years.
