Great stuff. Reminds me of a story my dad told me about a former boxer from NOLA named Warren Matthews. He was a little guy in the Feather weight class. He was walking home one night through the St Bernard projects when two big dudes jumped and tried to rob him. Needless to say he beat the living hell out of both of them and put one in the hospital. Sadly if it happened today Warren would probably be dead from a gunshot wound.

Love those days when New Orleans was a fight Mecca. Tony Licata was a great one that I knew very well from St Bernard.
