Re: ULL Series

This Tulane team has been fun to watch. While they are squandering opportunities, at least they give themselves a chance with the opportunities and have eventually come through with enough to win most games. Hopefully, they are still learning and getting better.

Re: NSD Moved Up

The whole situation really is a mess. Somehow, they have to balance bigger playoffs that make the season longer with being able to enroll newcomers for the Spring semester. If it gets to where teams are still playing when the Spring semester cutoff comes, what happens? Anyone still playing can't tra...

Re: WSU Game Thread

Hunter reminds me of former LSU coach, Dale Brown. He was a very questionable coach who always had talent to bail him out and mask his deficiencies. Brown even had a defense, the Freak, that he advertised as some unique invention. Brown, however, never went so far as to minimize offensive rebounding...

Re: CFP Goes for 5+7 System

They are still a top flight program. One of the few to make the CFP more than once. Hate on them all you want but they are a huge draw in person and on TV. Thry are important to college football. It's trendy to dump on Notre Dame, for whatever reason. The fact is they ARE one of the best programs i...

He kind of has no choice but to do the radio part when he's doing both at the same time. Baseball is best when 2 are doing it so it sounds better because it's the same amount of talking, but it's 2 different people.

That's an interesting idea. I wonder how she is perceived in the D1 coaching ranks. She certainly has experience at every level, and steered some of our best recent recruits to us from John Curtis.

McMahon said Cook, who transferred back to LSU from Tulane last spring, did not accompany the team for Saturday's game at Vanderbilt. McMahon said at his weekly news conference that...

I totally agree with the general point here. We've been reading this kind of speculation for 2+ years now. It's nothing until it's something. Why are you so negative! All the time about everything. Be positive! Be happy! Again, it's nothing until it's something. That's not being negative, it's bein...

There are teams in the Ivy League that every team in the over 25 men's beer league I umpire would defeat 100% of the time. Yale went 0-3 last weekend against that powerhouse Northern Florida, being outscored 22-8. and lost to the MIGHTY Green Wave 11-1 yesterday. I'll stand by my statement that thi...

Re: 2024 Football Schedule

I I would argue that there is more of a chance of exposure playing on Thanksgiving night. People are watching TV and there are just a few sports options on Thanksgiving evening vs a regular Saturday with games going on all day. Further, the night NFL Thanksgiving game is usually a throw away game. ...

it was obvious two weeks ago that Hunter lost the players trust. I am not defending Hunter, but I don't buy that assessment at all. The players are frustrated by lack of success, but the players are still fighting hard. They could have easily folded today when they got down by 20 with 13:00 left, b...

This should be a weekend sweep. With all the teams from the North looking for early season games in the South, we’re playing a bad Ivy League team. Actually, we are playing a middle of the pack Ivy League team. I think they were 10-11 in conference last year. There are teams in the Ivy League that ...
