Re: A year Ago Today
What a time it was! Still have that feeling that the Fritz situation cost the team a second chance to experience real college football ….hope Im around to see it again.. I had a feeling we were going to be matched up with Penn St, and I thought we’d get blown out in that matchup. Likewise we would ...

Re: The GOTULA Questionnaire
1. How did you hear about / how did you find GOTULA? - I think i was randomly looking a Tulane forum. 2. Were you a lurker before joining? - I don't believe so. 3. Did you have any issues registering for the forum? - It seemed pretty easy. 4. How many times a day would you estimate you visit the for...

Re: Rice Game Thread
Can we fly a drone around Fogleman with a sign behind it that reads: PLAY MORE THAN 7 PLAYERS and REBOUNDS WIN GAMES!?? Good luck with that! He barely played the bench against a NAIA school. And constantly playing zone defense puts our guys out of position to rebound unless you have one very tall a...

I don't mind him taking Troy guys since Troy had a similar season in a tougher conference with lesser talent.

Yes the bench played in the last 5-6 minutes when it didn't matter. Should have played them more against this NAIA.

Re: Virginia Tech Beats Tulane 41-20- Military Bowl
I think we'll win at least 8-9 games next season, but Sumrall said the playoffs are the goal and I believe him. The only way we make the playoffs next season would be with a win over either K-State or Oklahoma. Although technically SMU could have gotten the nod this season with a similar record, I'...

Re: 2024 Baseball Season
What's amazing to me is that our baseball team used to be our best sports team. I remember the late 90's up until Katrina times. What happened? I'm not a big baseball guy, but definitely watched those classic LSU games. De-emphasized under Dannen. Might take a little time but I’m hoping the new AD ...

Re: ACC looks at Stanford/Cal
FSU trashes Stanford, Cal & SMU in lawsuit against ACC. Not being a good conference neighbor, to say the least, and really. “grasping for straws” as legal argument for a way out of the GOR & ACC exit fee. https://www.sfgate.com/collegesports/article/florida-state-stanford-cal-acc-lawsuit-18...

Re: MBB vs George Mason on Friday
I would have watched if I wasn't at a Christmas party, but I'm glad I didn't. I'm pretty much done with Hunter at this point. I supported higher and he has been an upgrade, but there's a ceiling with him if he's not willing to adjust and apparently this team has hit its ceiling. He's still giving he...

Re: 2024 Football Recruiting Class
Recruiting rankings are dropping with our loses and some of Sumrall signees are not ranked as high. So far, no high 3 star or 4 star players from Sumrall he has to recruit a higher level of student athletes than he did at Troy now that he is in the AAC. That was Coach Fritz mistake recruiting mid t...

Re: Michael Pratt
Like I said he wasn’t playing. Going pro. Great decision. Finished up as a Greenie! Justin starting. Had we beat SMU he would likely have played in the NY6 bowl. Kai is starting, don't start a QB that has not started a game in over a year that is ludicrous. Sumrall talking Kai to stay and compete. ...

Re: Jon Sumrall - New Football Head Coach
Rich Rod's Jax St team ran 104 offensive plays in regulation today. That's two games worth of Fritz. I loved Rich Rod in 1998, and was pissed off that Cowen went behind Sandy Barbour's back and hired Scelfo. In the years since, Rich Rodriguez has proven to be a character that I wouldn't want near o...

Re: Jon Sumrall - New Football Head Coach
Once we're a P school (most likely ACC), we will still be a stepping stone school just like 90% of P schools, which is still ok. We will then be in a better position to find coaches like Sumrall, etc.

Re: FOOTBALL TRANSFER PORTAL 2023
Eventually, the US Congress is going to have to get involved. It's not something that the Federal govt should be involved in, but there doesn't seem to be an alternative as state legislatures will begin to tailor state laws to benefit their flagship programs. They should get involved because the ma...
