Re: Stadium Construction
If TPS is correct, and I believe he is, there is no way I will ever set foot in that cheap piece of trash. I This is truly the end- SC is sticking it right in our faces. Why would any INTELLIGENT fan or any casual New Orleanian support this POS? I'm right. The visiting fans (if any) will su...

Re: Call me
Call me when Tulane gets the balls to fire Scott Cowen and Rick Dickson! See you all for Baseball ! Nothing to see w/ baseball other than a team that might pitch but won't hit a lick or score much. Baseball's been over. SC and RD did that in too. What's interesting is that baseball topped out aroun...

Speaking of "Frankenstadium" remind Cowen that Tad Gormley (our high school homecoming) stadium is all concrete.

0-3. We lost to the teams with better athletes, but we lost our best player(Mackey), our starting QB is out, our best offensive player(Darkwa) is out. We really have no need to freak. Our top recruit(Darion Monroe) had 12 tackles last game. Don't forget about Devon Walker, our STARTING safety, is ve...

Re: Perspective
Dickson has been burnt out for years. He's sent his kids through Tulane now maybe he needs to retire. I'm thinking he's going to do that once he pushes us off the deep end into the mini-half-metal-stadium in 2014.OGSB wrote:We're not even meeting Dickson's low bar of being competitive.

This is the worst Tulane football team in history. Shame on you Scott Cowen and shame on you Rick Dickson for collecting a check evey month. You two are a complete embarassment to this university. How can this be?NOLABigSteve wrote:Sorry Aug, I won't believe it till I see it. Where's Show Me?

Re: ULM
On national tv at home now (ESPN) beating Big 12 Baylor 21-7. I wish Tulane would get it. 35-34 ULM leads 4th Qtr. They are going to beat us. They remind me of our 1998 team with that no huddle up-tempo offense. They have a record crowd in their stadium over 31K. A good schedule and winning does th...

Re: Two puzzling questions.
Funny thing comparing Tulane and LSU on the cost and value of an education. I suppose because he could afford to do so, Skip Bertman sent his daughter to Tulane while he was employed at LSU. He apparently saw some value in a Tulane education. The world has changed dramatically from even 5 years ago...

Re: Ole Miss Game Week Thread
I can't blame Tulane for bumping up the price for this game. However I believe the crowd could be light enough for our on campus 21K mini stadium this time around. I'm sure Tulane thinks that this is our marquee game this season. Too bad it's at 11am and on national TV and a little pricey. As Sader ...

Re: Cowen Interview in The Hullaballoo
This righteousness must stop. Comparing athletics in the 60's to today's landscape is completely irresponsible. You have to be "smart", tell that to LSU and their world class student-athletes like Mo Claiborne who's wonderlic indicates that he is illiterate. Also tell that to ND football ...

Another rankings drop, brought to you by the Cowen regime. Tulane was ranked in the mid 30s when he became president in the late 90s. The graduation rate is what is killing Tulane in these rankings, though. No surprise here. Cowen has his own agenda and it's going exactly according to his plans. Fo...

Huge crowd. The entire Plaza Level on the home side was just about full. I'd say they had about 20K real people in the stands. Both St Pauls and Curtis draw well.tpstulane wrote:Show, how was the crowd in the Dome for those HS games?

As a Jesuit fan who attended a few games last year, I honestly cannot say I was very impressed with Lee. Good arm but not much else. Limited mobility and he seemed to miss a lot of open receivers in the games I was at - Rummel, Carencro. The offense seemed to stagger when he was in the game. Jesuit...

What is going on there is unethical and an embarrassment to TU. My blood pressure is rising just thinking about it. My favorite Y O W G F story is in 2003 Cowen's plans on killing football by dropping us down to D-III was deleted on that board (was not called Yowgf then). He "Oliver N Blue&quo...
