Re: UCF Beats Tulane 14-10

Field position change on the blocked punt eventually cost them. How do 2 guys come up the middle untouched?

Re: UCF GameDay Thread

Eventual breakdown in the secondary. How many times this year? Field position change on the blocked punt eventually caught them.

On the punt block, they let 2 guys come up the middle completely unblocked.

That's kind of my point about the coaching. Do we really think Corey Dublin got worse in his 5th year?

Re: UCF GameDay Thread

A lot of complaints about OL and I agree, but we did lose our OL coach, then hired a new one who left for Iowa 2 weeks later. We were left scrambling and maybe had to settle for what we could get. A lot of this starting to look less like talent and more like coaching. Chip Long has nothing to brag a...

Maybe we should keep running Spears wildcat into the m>ddle of the defense and pass plays with no one on a pattern. So far, 3 times for the first and once for the second.

Re: A Multi Million $$$$ question

Richard Yulman wanted his name on a football stadium, not a practice facility or dining hall or library or latrine. How unfortunate it is that he did not listen to winwave but instead spent his own money the way he wanted and not the way winwave wanted. He had better submit his resume for AD when D...

Re: A Multi Million $$$$ question

I certainly would, but I think we would all need some sort of assurance that we are trying to move this athletic department forward with regard to conference affiliation. If the Big 12 or ACC invited us to join, is the Tulane University administration pledged to making the long-term commitment to be...

Re: 2021 Volleyball

Women won today, but it took 5 sets at home to beat a 1-10 Temple team. At 7-5 and in the middle of the pack, they are likely not going anywhere again in post season. Coach Barnes seemed like a good hire as a former Baylor coach, but he may be a coach who is good, but not good enough. They seem to g...

Fritz will handle depositing his paychecks with no remorse . Exactly! He shows no fire. The team is poorly coached at all levels. They rarely come ready to play. Nobody will be fired because Dannen is missing in action and Fitts is a clueless nerd/milktoast. We could not be in a worse position to r...

As has been said here over and over, it's really all about the MONEY. If we continue to get at least what we were getting before, we are no worse off. It feels like we've been left behind, but we had an 11-team conference (12 with Wichita) and two of the better programs left... and Houston. They res...

Re: Next Wave of Re-Alignment

It's easy to beat up on Tulane as the worst of the worst because that's what we are familiar with, but USF, ECU, Tulsa, Temple are hardly leaving us behind. Tulsa and SMU don't even play baseball so they are less desirable to a major conference. There is no doubt that the AAC is losing the 2 most s...

I think what many fail to realize is that we have ZERO/NOTHING to offer any conference. - No winning teams - No fan base - No facilities - No impressive resume To everyone on the outside, we should be exactly where we are. The way we feel and think on this board is the exception, not the norm. The ...

Re: Tulane Basketball 2021-2022 Preseason Thread

I do share Hunter's enthusiasm for this year with the nucleus of Cook, Forbes and James. We also have two newcomers who can shot the rock in all three categories: Spencer (LaSalle), and Baker (UNC -Ash). We have three players 6 ft. 8 or taller. Our defense should be sturdy as always; only question ...

Once Troy Dannen moves on by firing or accepting another job, I expect to see a couple of the people on this site apply for the job. They have all the answers and will bring certain success. No reason they should not apply if they really want Tulane to win in every sport.

I propose that the SEC and the AAC merge and create a regionalized model. That would make about as much sense to the SEC as it should to Mike Aresco.
