Re: Gozzo Signs with Phillies

Good for him. And I have to imagine Jewett coming back next year also played into his decision to sign. I know. Hoese coming back with TJ as the coach was a huge mistake :P Should have signed with the Royals (38th round) for peanuts. Who wants $2.75 million? He's not hungry now. TJ might not be the...

Re: How did you become a Tulane fan?

When I was 7 or 8 my brother would take me to the lsu games on Saturday Night. Frankly the only reason I went was because we use to stop at the restaurant on Airline Highway in Laplace( can’t remember the name) for a fried chicken dinner. One game, the fans became so obnoxious that my brother said ...

Re: How did you become a Tulane fan?

My dad covering the Wave was my biggest influence. I grew up going to the games at the age of 5-6 (1965) Bobby Duhon was my first hero. Many more came after that. I was fortunate enough play BB (1978/79) while at Tulane and got my BSM degree in 1981. While at Tulane we beat LSU in FB in 1979 and 19...

How did you become a Tulane fan?

Some of you I know, many others I don't. But would love to hear how each of you came to follow the Green Wave. For me, my parents took us to the games as kids. We were the infants wearing the Tulane gear. I even got the opportunity to play for the Green Wave from 99-02. Born a Tulane fan, and will d...

We lose to Auburn, Houston & UCF. 9-3
We also lose our coaching staff
I guess that would be a good problem to have.

We win one game we shouldn't: Army

We lose two games we should win: SMU, Navy

We squeak into a bowl at 6-6

L: Auburn, Temple, UCF, UH, SMU, Navy
W: FIU, Mizzou St, UConn, Memphis, Tulsa, Army
I'd agree to all of these.

Re: More Baseball Schollies?

Curious though... why is baseball so much different vs. the other sports when it comes to scholarships, etc.? I mean, I understand how the situation is, but does anyone know the why? One reason it's like that it is considered a non revenue sport so the number is limited. FWIW, that explanation make...

Re: More Baseball Schollies?

I get how it is. I guess my question is why is the NCAA allowed scholarship number so limited for baseball? I understand there are less players, and the teams are smaller. The current setup is just... strange.
