Re: UNO Destroys Tulane 16-4
Breaking good baseball news. MLB just agreed to double the pay scale for minor league players, which should make it much tougher for all schools to recruit the really good high school players. Since we aren't getting many of those, we should close the performance gap going forward. I know it's not a...

Re: Pratt for Heisman
Remember pulling for Michael is the right thing to do. But preseason polls and rankings don't mean a thing. What were we ranked in last year's polls? God forbid its a long season injury happen, etc. I have cautious optimism, but you are only as good as your last play. A quarterback is only as good ...

Re: Campbell Sweeps Tulane
D, you're the sophomoric one. At the time the non-search that resulted in JU, there was widespread views that Dannen was hanging at his fishing hole. And whether it was his fishing hole or his NCAA sub-sub committee, he has acknowledged that he was spending 20% of his time on Tulane, and the other ...

Re: Campbell Sweeps Tulane
It was fishing season for Dannen--much easier to give the job to JU than actually go out and try to find a good head coach. Dannen doesn't like having to recruit new coaches. That's a hollow argument based upon nothing but a dislike of Dannen. TD clearly doesn't value Baseball the way some fans do....

Re: Memphis WBB NIT handshake turns ugly
Both videos are prime examples of what Memphis is. I'd be shocked if any P5 takes them in our lifetimes. Calling them out as the Memphis Municipal Athletic Club is spot on.

Re: Memphis WBB NIT handshake turns ugly
Memphis wasn't a fault for our point shaving. They were though subject to accusations of fixing games themselves that season. In their game against us here they kept leaving Clyde Eads wide open from the spot where everyone knew he liked to shoot from on the left wing. Eads would either pass it whi...

Re: SMU to the PAC-12 discussions
where is the IPF going to be located ? There is a field next to the Diboll lot, in front of Reily center, that has artificial turf on it and students use it to play soccer. Ironically, it's where the Sugar Bowl field used to be. OK... I am very familiar with it, I grew up in the north end zone, now...

Re: 2023 FB Season
Now that basketball and baseball is over I thought it would be a good time to start a FB thread to ease our pain over the next 5 -6 months. Pain ?...c'mon man, just because we lose basketball games by an average of almost 16 points a game, there should be no pain and yet we're better than we ...

If the 4 corner schools leave for the Big 12, the PAC needs SDSU, SMU, Colorado State, Tulane, Memphis and UTSA.....The "academic snobs" of the PAC need to shut up and bring in schools that have a presence in big media markets.......I do not think Zona, Zona State and Colorado could have ...

Re: Tulane being considered for the Big 12?
It matters. You're a party of one saying it doesn't. I don't know of anyone being told y'all put up a good game too bad you lost. National articles have been written about it. Everyone knows we won. It matters because it showed we belonged and weren't just forced on the bowl system. We proved ourse...

He makes a whole lot of valid points, but unfortunately they're mostly falling on deaf ears. Why should the marquis names that draw the most viewers be financially responsible for those that do not? That same self-interest will ultimately rear it's head inside the SEC and B1G soon as well. Just wai...

Re: Mike Aresco calls for the abolishment of P5/G5 divide
Unfortunately, Aresco is just pissing in the wind. He knows eventually the AAC will get further raided by either the PAC remains, the ACC remains, or the MWC. Aresco really screwed up putting the Charlotte, and Texas ball-and-chains around the AAC. It has put the Komodo Dragon bite on the AAC--death...
