Re: Coronavirus (COVID-19) Discussion

I don't get what Nancy Pelosi has to do with my paranoia of the COVID-19 virus? I hate Nancy Pelosi, I very rarely watch CNN or other news channels. I prefer to read and research information from sources like the CDC, HHS, WHO, etc. There's an abundance of true and accurate information available. A...

I don't doubt that that is a distinct possibility. And even if they can start the season, it could be truncated by the C-19 second wave, probably late this year.

Easy guess he watches Fox News Channel. You know why? Because it’s the most watched cable channel in the country. Nobody else even close. And its the most watched network because it sticks to facts--not hate driven bias. The other major networks lost all credibility long ago when they continually l...

Re: Coronavirus (COVID-19) Discussion

D is totally off the rails and has been led down the Pelosi/Schumer alley. Trump did respond early by shutting down the flights from China-which Italy didn’t and look at what it has done for them and Europe. We haven’t had a strategic reserve of medical equipment for generations- hardly Trumps fault...

Scott Cowen finds a way to make the virus about him. This guy is relentless. https://twitter.com/tulanescott/status/1239627181099286528?s=21 Scott Cowen is the epitome of ineffective leadership. +1,000,000. Re: Coronavirus (COVID-19) Discussion

Very depressing not having a sports outlet. After Katrina we still had sports to keep some sanity. Sitting inside most of the day watching TV news is torture. Hopefully everyone here stays healthy during this pandemic. Roll Wave! I know I'm panicking early, but I'm increasingly worried about the fo...

Rational thoughts for an irrational world: Hoarding grocery items: Grocers could sell two bundles of toilet tissue for a deeply discounted price. Buy more than two? Double the regular price. More than 5...triple the price. Problem solved. Quantity pricing is very legal, but it is usually applied in...

Re: Coronavirus (COVID-19) Discussion

There is a real quick cure to the hoarding by the mindless masses—pricing. Suppliers should immediately double prices. See how badly somebody wants that 100th roll of toilet paper. Politicians and consumer advocates could hardly allege price gouging for any product that can’t stay on the shelves. O...

The outbreak is causing tremendous financial damage to small businesses and people in the service industry. Dave, a Tulane alum and the owner of Campus Connection on Broadway gets the majority of his sales from Tulane related apparel and is getting clobbered by the early closure and the evacuation ...

It may well be a close call as to whether football season starts on time. These two week and one month delays are laughable—we’ll be fighting this far longer than one month.

If the AAC already feels the need to cancel baseball games, then the balance of the season is in serious jeopardy. C-19 is going to get a lot worse before things start to improve.

I've read many books about the 1918 flu, it was incredibly virulent. There were many cases where somebody would wake up feeling fine, develop a sneeze and then cough by late morning, a headache, fever, and body aches by early afternoon, lung and breathing difficulties by evening, and be dead before...
