Re: Coronavirus (COVID-19) Discussion

TPS you missed the whole point, Coronavirus targets multiple organs, Lungs, Heart and Kidneys. If Maravich in his prime caught something like this virus it could have killed him. Not about who dies at what age from the virus. Many young may survive after long time in the hospitals or ICU's that has...

Re: Coronavirus (COVID-19) Discussion

We can’t just ignore the effects of the virus. Long term no one knows. For instance, the Jazz player says he still has trouble with his sense of smell three months after Testing negative. I see no reason why these pro athletes can’t get to playing as they are paid and the leagues are doing everythi...

Re: Coronavirus (COVID-19) Discussion

To all that think athletes are not vulnerable to Covid 19. Remember Pistol Pete Maravich, all American, All NBA, Superstar. Well Pete was born with a defect in his heart lucky it did not effect his play but died as a young man in a pick up game after he retired. Imagine if an athlete like Pete toda...

Re: Coronavirus (COVID-19) Discussion

Too much gloom and doom on this topic. Finally something to look forward to! 24 out of 24 recipients had 1.5 times the immunity of a recovered subject after receiving the vaccine no side effects. Still early but very encouraging. Pfizer stock jumps after it reports positive data in early-stage coron...

Re: Tulane’s Victory Bell and Confederate connection

I have a funny story about John Wayne. Back in the early ‘80s I was working for Texaco Inc in the oil business and from time to time I would be approached by an independent drillers with the opportunity to invest personally in the drilling of new oil wells. One day I decided to take up one of the g...

Re: Coronavirus (COVID-19) Discussion

TPS, you continue to spread conspiracy theories because the truth isn’t on your side. Keep it up buddy. You’re about to look bad again like you did in March. This is not your field so stop pretending you know anything about what’s going on. The virus doesn’t kill right away once someone is infected...

Re: Coronavirus (COVID-19) Discussion

I know someone that’s works in the lab that does the testing. Did you know each positive is counted? So when the same person is first tested positive sometimes they want another test to confirm. So you’ll have two positives recorded for one person. Some even have 3 tests done maybe a different facil...

Re: Tulane’s Victory Bell and Confederate connection

I think before anything gets considered for renaming people should vote yes or no. When it comes to renaming a street let the people who have an address on the street vote. Statues let the citizens of the community vote. Etc.

Re: Coronavirus (COVID-19) Discussion

I’ve said since day one most this virus will run it’s course. Hiding alone inside only slows the spread temporarily but doesn’t kill it. Of course you should continue to protect yourself. No matter what it’s going to continue to spread until we get a vaccine or enough people acquire an immunity. I’m...

Re: Tulane’s Victory Bell and Confederate connection

Six states have legislation proposed to protect drivers who run over protesters. I imagine some states, if the bill goes through will see some right wing extremists buying plows for their pickups. https://www.cnn.com/2017/08/18/us/legislation-protects-drivers-injure-protesters/index.html I understa...

Re: Schott Down !!!!

These philanthropic “gifts” generally come with naming opportunities. The universities, out of the graciousness of their hearts (and donor strong arm negotiations) name a room, building, school, college, etc. after the donor. Otherwise the “donation’s” tax treatment is affected. I doubt there is a ...

I don’t get this. Kansas St had 14 positives and shut the entire thing down now. https://theathletic.com/1884185/2020/06/21/kansas-state-football-coronavirus-tests/?source=user_shared_article I really believe the best solution is to get as many positives now out the way. Come August those positives...

Re: Tulane’s Victory Bell and Confederate connection

https://pbs.twimg.com/media/EbFNHQjUYAExBjW.png So celebrate men who fought to enslave human beings in-our public spaces? “History” means celebrating confederate war leaders in public spaces in a country dedicated to equality? So please tell me that germany should leave up statues to nazi’s, right?...
