UCF

Starting QB broke his ankle. Remember this was the guy who looked so good when he replaced Milton McKenzie after his catastrophic leg and knee injury. So they will be down to third string, I would think most of the year. Just our luck, we don’t play them until late November.

Re: Graff leaving Tulane for Pels

You had me going. I loved Bruce and Wayne. Funny story. When I was in school just prior to a Tulane away game against Miami one of the players told me that Tulane was going to run a double reverse flea flicker on the opening play. As the first pitch happened Bruce and Wayne were so excited they disc...

Says he cut his body fat from 24% to 18% in offseason. Why didn’t Tulane trainers get him to do that before now?

That’s all they needed to say.

If he truly runs a 4.34 forty, not sure we’ll get him on the dotted line.

Re: How did you become a Tulane fan?

My dad went to Ole Miss so I grew up in late 50s early 60s as a Rebel diehard. So my deep hatred of LSU was ingrained in me. Did go to many "Cub Scout" Tulane games, so always pulled for them to upset LSU. Got lucky enough to get NROTC scholarship out of HS in 1970 and wanted to stay home so picked ...

Congrats to Todd. Well deserved. He was to me the single most exciting thing about Tulane athletics. So I’m bummed.

Graff leaving Tulane for Pels

Buddy just texted me. Is this correct. Hate to see it but he deserves better than that underwhelming athletic program.

Re: Baseball Coaching Search

Why is everybody so excited about the method in the last two hires. Hunter hasn’t done a thing yet and Fitz is to be applauded for the bowl season but jeez it took a last play 2 point conversion to beat a bad navy team. I do think Fitz will continue to do a good job, notvas optimistic on Hunter.

Just looked at Wash St candidates. There is no way Jewett gets that job over Ore St pitching coach and two young guys who played at Wash St.

Re: 2020 football recruiting

Heard from my source that Tulane is actively recruiting Defensive End Angelo Anderson out of John Curtis hard. They want to sign him and 2 other Dlineman for next years class. Angelo was on a visit to Tulane this past weekend with his family. It sounds like the young man doesn't want to go far from...

Re: TD Fire TJ

He needs to be fired but don’t expect much in the way of a new hire. No good coach is going to take this job with its challenges. Can’t recruit here. Any coach we see hired will be one who was on nobody else’s radar. Gautreau is in line for an eventual much better job than Tulane. We are a coach kil...

Re: Bylaw 14.5.5.2.9 - and how it will affect Tulane Baseball

If anything, this may help Tulane. Jones made a living getting transfers who weren’t happy where they were. Now back then they probably had scholarships so would be ineligible to transfer but to me it can’t hurt.

Re: Ranking the Basketball programs in AAC

IMHO, that survey is hard to argue against. Tulane athletics as a hole is abysmal at this time. Only a gargantuan investment in resources can change this fact. The problem is that with no shot at a P5 invitation, even I, a die-hard fan since 1970 and an alumnus since 1973, would probably agree that ...

Re: The Academic, or lack of, progress numbers

This is totally disgusting to me. So now we are losing with below avg athletes and students. We are a joke of an athletic program. Can we at least pick a lane either good athletes or good students and stick to it. Losing on the field and classroom with poor talent and academic ability is a complete ...

Simple solution. Build our programs and our brand to a level where we earn an invite to the Big 12. Then LSU would have no excuse to not play us.
You mean like Texas refuses to play Texas A&?

There’s just no benefit for Ga Tech.
Are you saying no benefit for them to play us or vice versus? They don’t run the option with all that cut blocking anymore. Johnson retired.

Re: Future OOC Football Schedule/Games

Not in the state of Louisiana it won't. Playing LSU regularly, win or lose, gives in state fans that don't like LSU a reason to root for Tulane regardless of the outcome. And there is a percentage of in-state football fans that are turned off by LSU looking for a reason to root for Tulane. It's tha...
