Re: Where are you Mr. Slatten?

Please give it a rest. There is nothing anyone can do until the University decides it wants to. I believe it would take a seismic shift of academic money not being poured in to see real change and I do not believe the alumni care that much.

Making sense of the timing surrounding David Pierce’s firing announcement and Jim Schlossnagle’s hire: https://gigemgazette.com/posts/why-was-longhorn-job-opening-announced-on-final-day-of-college-world-series-01j1bbjzx445 🤔 Still nothing about it really makes sense. Re: "O" Line from CCS

Some posters on this board have been claiming we have a terrible O-Line since this board started. Every OL in the country gives up sacks, pressures and tackles for losses. Ours is regarded by many "experts" as one of the best in the G5. It's time to open your eyes to the fact that our O-L...

Re: Where are you Mr. Slatten?

I'm not sure what you want Mr. Slatten to say. The doners for whatever reason (economy, future, etc.) do not want to give money. So, until that happens, the only path forward is for the University to pony up and we all know that is not in their plans. If the school is not going all in, why in the h...

This guy is a total selfish scumbag. I’d rather lose then have him coach my team. That seems like an overreaction. Selfish? I guess you can say that but isn’t that the case for basically every coach? Aren’t they almost all looking for the next big payday? It’s the nature of the profession. Texas wi...

Amazes me how we are not on the list of colleges recruiting some players but sign them. Houston and South Alabama were his predictions to sign him on ON3. https://www.on3.com/db/juelz-baptiste-240458/ It shouldn't be because Tulane is notorious for keeping their recruiting quiet. It's been done lik...

SMU is pretty identical to us in all areas except athletic fundraising. Their President is known for his fundraising abilities. I believe if we took 150 million of our 2 billion in endowment and sunk it in the athletic coffer, we would be a player.

At the plate we do. It matters what competition you do it against. Our hitters can hit the weak pitching of the AAC and weak mid-week pitching but not much else. Like I said we are a good ways away from having Regional talent. Why are we not going after LSU Portal pitchers with mid 90's fastballs t...

I agree with Ed. If the school would step up, it would make a world of difference. Football is going to be tough because you have to run the table just to get into the playoffs. Basketball is a disaster. We were a regional club with no pitching. Unfortunately, there are those on this board who do no...

Re: Could an Indoor Practice Facility be coming Nov ‘23? Stay tuned...

Someone correct me if I am wrong, but it seems that when football wants to practice and the weather is inclement, they usually are allowed to practice at the Saint's indoor facility or the Superdome. I realize this is probably an inconvenience to bus the players, etc. but the team is able to practic...

I'd be shocked if we can keep him. Might even be a high draft choice if he progresses..

For those who are complaining about baseball, what is your expectation? Does anyone here actually expect Tulane to win a national championship in any major sport, no matter what conference we're in? Maybe some do. I don't because I don't think it's realistic. What I want out of athletics is to have...

Trying to wrap my head around this - which bat would you have taken out of the line up for better defense? Especially after mid season? Same here. nSW. As all coaches say if you can hit you'll be in the line-up every day. That's especially true in college baseball. want defense...stop walking 11 ba...

One thing to consider is that we had at least 2 players that were in the field that really belonged in the DH role. Unfortunately, our pitching caused his lineup to put as many hitters as possible in the order to sacrifice defense.
