Re: Navy Score Prediection Thread

Navy 27
Tulane 20

Regrettably, my 6-6 prediction could easily become reality.

Re: Memphis Dominates Tulane 47-17

Words to soothe the troubled football soul: Last year we were 2-5 and yet finished the season as co-champions of the west. Everyone wanted to run the Fritz staff out of town. This year we are 5-2 and 2-1 in the AAC. Last year we lost at Houston 48-17 yet were able to regroup and defeat Navy the foll...

Know what else pisses me off? We can't hear the pain and frustration in Graf's voice after these boneheaded plays. Listening to Allegretta, he sounds downright chipper after the interceptions.

Memphis offense is playing a superior game so far. They are bigger. Faster. Executing better. Passing better. Calling better plays.

Houston leading UCONN only 10-7 midway in the 3rd. Certainly takes some luster from our win over Houston.

Re: Who's next if we lose WF and Hall

I don't understand the conflict here. Every sports tome in America begins to publish a "hot seat" list about mid season. Along with that, most have a "coaches to watch" article or two. The Athletic ( excellent publication BTW...I took the recommendations of several here and subscribed ) has an excel...

Here's a half-hour video chat between Troy Dannen and Gabe Feldman, Director of Tulane Sports Law, discussing college athlete compensation. Both participants are in favor of compensating college athletes.

Wish there was a Tulane bus group making the game.

BTW, not a lot of discussion this week about the fact that Will Hall was the OC at Memphis last year. Wonder how much insight he can contribute.

I'm wearing my 1998 National Champions T-Shirt here in CT. At my son's Taekwando dojo, a guy wearing an LSU jacket comes up to me and says "nice win last week at Army." He then asks "are you going to watch the Tigers tonight?" I said "no, I'm going to watch my Green Wave destroy UConn on my DVR, as...

There's a snowball's chance in hell of the Palmetto Conference ever being more than a (bad) pipe dream. But global warming is real, despite what our clown of a President thinks about it. And by the way, hating Trump does not make me a liberal. It means I give a damn. Thank you. This administration ...

The New Orleans Picayune devoted an entire sports section page to Tulane game day. The times they are a changing.

My wife and I are playing tourist today. Sitting on a rocking chair on the front porch of a NOLA B&B. Refreshingly cool temps....Wonderful day to be a Tulane fan.

Re: 2019 Tulane Football Regular Season Win Prediction

I picked 6 wins and have upped my prediction to 7-5. Assuming that we win the UConn game and go 5-1. Take a look at the remaining schedule: Memphis, Navy, Tulsa, Temple, UCF, and SMU. Where are the sure wins? Perhaps Navy. With a few injuries and bad bounces, we could easily be 1-5 in this stretch. ...

Re: Who needs to lose for us to make the top 25

Who needs to lose? Howzabout Navy? Beat them, and having already taken care of Army, we could meet Air Force in a bowl game. That should get us both a top 25 ranking and (after defeating the airmen) a Commander-In-Cheese's trophy. I was beginning to wonder if I would live long enough to see Tulane a...
