Re: Kyle Meyers

It is pretty crazy how we have struck out on everyone. Any decent QB should feel pretty good about being able to come in and beat out Keon. To be clear- I’m not saying they would actually be better, but he’s not some entrenched starter or high profile transfer. If only Duffy had worked out -sigh- Ho...

Re: N'Western 10 game- Big 10 only in 2020

I wonder regarding a conference only schedule. Would any conference consider replacing their OOC games with the conf teams they weren't scheduled to play? For example, we'd be able to play a 10 game season instead of 7? I'm assuming if we go conf only we'd be cancelling the Army game as well. Most ...

Re: 1931 Tulane Rose Bowl team

Ummm...didn't Perry Clark win a VERY competitive (dare I say better than the AAC) C-USA? Good point CT. Win, Hunter hasn’t won at the D1 level ? How many ncaa tourneys has he made ? Maybe you can claim he had an easier path (although smaller margin for error), so let’s look at another metric - Has ...

Re: 1931 Tulane Rose Bowl team

"When we sell out" a 3200 seat arena... That's a pretty low bar, what's taking so long? We’re in year 2 with hunter. . . May need to wait a little longer. Win, I see we have entered the chicken or the egg portion of this discussion. It is what it is - yes it’s not up to our peers but it’s also not ...

Re: 1931 Tulane Rose Bowl team

“Tulane Gym was one of the largest in college basketball when it opened, even though there were no court-level seats at first. Tulane played host to the 1942 NCAA East Regional in the facility.” Interesting Tid bit. Micman, When we sell it out then we can start talking about expanding or rebuilding....

HomeField Tulane Launch & Twitter reaction

Scott Van Pelt and quite a few influential national sports writers getting into the mix praising our logos, history and new gear that homefield launches today. I’ll definitely be picking up a couple pieces (bacon wave and riptide surfing). I actually like the video homefield created that Has a quick...

The highest likelihood (of us playing) is we follow suit and go to all conference as well. Although in a dream scenario we could look for a game @ Notre Dame or BYU.

Arguably the best Tulane team ever: https://tulanegreenwave.com/news/2020/7/10/football-looking-back-tulanes-1931-team-competes-in-the-rose-bowl.aspx The money earned from the Bowl appearance was used to build the Tulane Gym. Re: N'Western 10 game- Big 10 only in 2020

As they were home and homes, We were probably getting a little but not much (NW is private, but I’m sure we could find out regarding MS State). I also don’t think we’ll be too aggressive in recouping money from them for that reason. The story in the advocate said TD was already trying to reschedule ...

Re: N'Western 10 game- Big 10 only in 2020

Sooner or later we're going to play a top FCS team and lose. There's not that much difference between the TRUE top FCS teams and the middle 40 in FBS. NDSU owns more wins against P5 schools and ranked schools this century than Tulane and at least half of the G5. I really wanted to see them play in ...

You’re right, but I don’t think northwestern is even in our top 3 most difficult games. Most challenging to least challenging:

Ucf
Miss state
Memphis
Houston/Northwestern
SMU
Navy
Temple
Tulsa
ECU
Army
Fcs

Re: N'Western 10 game- Big 10 only in 2020

A real bummer. We had a very good (and winnable) OOC schedule. Atleast we don’t have to play leaches miss state QB. Our streak of not beating a P5 will continue. The aac as a whole had some excellent and winnable P5 games as well. What does this do for bowl eligibility ? Losing army, fcs and northwe...

I like it. No other school have that blue on the field (or as a color). UNC is close, but this is a bit more electric blue looking than UNC's duller Carolina Blue. Only change I would have made is I would have made the lettering in the Endzone match the green of the Angry Wave. I also liked Graf's ...

Respect on the piece. Love the content and well written & researched. I’m also on the spears bandwagon. I truly do believe Corey Dauphine when on the field has nfl attributes and was a game breaker.
