Re: Line Opens Tulane 3 pts. > FIU

2018: FAU 49, FIU 14? Enough said! :D 2017 Coach Davis' first year at FIU. Tulane 10 FIU 23 Most would expect FIU to be better in Butch Davis' 3rd year. 3rd party predictions: Oddshark (score) - FIU 30.7 to Tulane 29.2 PicksandParlays (spread) - FIU +2 S&P+ (% chance of victory) - Tulane has a 47% ...

Re: Tanner Lee

Some are of mixed race, I will admit. But I still think it's ridiculous to play the race card w/r/t QB's at this stage in the NFL. I don't think he's talking about today. I took it to mean that at the time Russell busted out, it reinforced the stereotype of the time w/r/t black QBs. I think its pre...

Re: 2019 FB Schedule

I've read that we're getting close to $2 mln for our game at Auburn. I have to ask: Why? Isn't that close to the highest payout for a visiting team this year? I love that we're getting a big payday. I hope we're competitive. I just wonder what Auburn was thinking offering us that much $$? There are...

Re: Line Opens Tulane 3 pts. > FIU

The Beau Rivage sports book is offering Tulane -2. I asked the lady at the sales window and she told me that, surprisingly, there did not seem to be a tremendous amount of interest among the Beau Rivage patrons in the Tulane/FIU game. I would imagine because it's such a small line and there is so m...

Re: Tanner Lee

The fact is if Tanner Lee wasn’t white, he wouldn’t have been drafted. He just fit the prototype because otherwise he was pedestrian in college. A black QB with similar numbers in college would have never been drafted. Agreed. There is no way he would have been drafted if he was a different race gi...

Here's the best I could come up with. First number is rating when they committed, second is the current rating. Upgrades in bold green , downgrades in red . SDE Angelo Anderson 0.8839 .8851 OG Josh Remetich 0.8667 OT Joseph Solomon 0.8300 .8499 OLB Kendarrius Moore 0.8498 (.8466) OB Rashad Green 0....

Re: the Underdog game by game preview

Something I've found strange for quite a few years now: LSU hasn't had any great QB play for a long time, yet they keep turning out not just good, but great NFL wide receivers. Given LSU's general reliance on Louisiana high school recruit, I believe it's just a reflection of how Louisiana football ...

Re: the Underdog game by game preview

It dominates Louisiana recruiting of course but it recruits at least half of it's scholarship players from out of state. The numbers are what they are. Exactly. It sounds like some people are interpreting that LSU "rel(ies) primarily on Louisiana recruiting" to mean that LSU only recruits Louisiana...

Re: the Underdog game by game preview

It's been a while since we had a legitimate D1 QB. Tanner had the arm but not the head to be a real leader. Going back we had much better QB play from Lester Ricard, JP Losman, Patrick Ramsey and Shaun King. But that's a long time ago now. We need to start getting that caliber of QB play if we're g...

Re: the Underdog game by game preview

Winwave's scrimmage recap will have ZERO affect on our season. The Coaching staff is way to paranoid about giving away information that's already available elsewhere. What are we going to lose to FIU because they read that our passing game is still not where it should be? And they would not know th...

You know what. I felt confident of that when I responded. Now I've been contacted by others that Willie has had called out. I've been bullish on this season. Now I'm worried he's lost it. Stick with your original bet. Without giving away too much information, what did those that contacted you say?

Re: the Underdog game by game preview

I think it's a very fair assessment. Looking at the scores: (W) 34-30 FIU (L) 17-41 Auburn (W) 35-17 Missouri State (L) 32-24 Houston (W) 24-20 Army (W) 38-10 UCONN (L) 30-20 Memphis (W) 28-17 Navy (W) 30-23 Tulsa (W) 31-28 Temple (L) 43-21 UCF (W) 31-17 SMU Basically to get 8 wins we need to be pr...

Re: Saints and the Louisiana Superdome

The Benson's do not practically own the Dome. They get all revenue on Saints game days. That's it. They also don't have anything to do with us practicing in the Dome. The Dome wants us to practice there because part of the last deal with the Saints is that a new turf gets put down every season. Tho...

Re: Line Opens Tulane 3 pts. > FIU

At this point, it is what it is. I'm interested in seeing how Tulane's and FIU's QBs perform. FIU was much better in that department last season, but, hopefully, the new offense will help Tulane perform better in that area. As a side note, there is no way that I would recommend betting on this game...

A OL worse than the one he had at Tulane. Probably 3rd stringers. You can’t judge him by that. He had no time and was running for his life. To be fair, he was the worst of the three QBs that were drafted in 2018. Yes, they all had a tough time, but when you are 0-3 with an INT and 3 Sacks for 17 ya...

But this is Tulane, and Lucy often pulls the ball away as we're about to kick that big game winning kick. Really? The ‘98 team went 12-0? The “loser” was Cowen not Tulane. The “problem” from 1998 to 2014 wasn’t the SuperDome or a “loser mentality” for Tulane but instead Cowen. In a mere 3 years Fit...

Re: Justin Campbell denied Admission

Baseball means very little when you're talking about getting an invite to the B12 or any other "P" conference. Baseball TV ratings are dwarfed (literally a TINY fraction) by other sports, and add next to nothing to the equation. Tulane already over-emphasizes baseball, and doesn't get the results t...
